37 states have passed some sort of law in response to BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement against Israel. The individual laws take different forms depending on the state. In Texas, for example, you can't get contract work for the government unless you sign an oath stating you won't boycott Israel. You also aren't allowed to boycott energy companies or gun organizations. Pretty blatant violation of free speech that conservatives never seem to complain about. That's only one example I listed. Care to comment on the others? And also, care to answer my question on the other thread?

strange that conservatives never complain about "big government" when it comes to the local police department getting armored vehicles and high grade military weapons. or the military getting hundreds of billions more than it needs every year. or state legislatures determining what books schools can have in their library or states mandating a loyalty oath to a foreign country to be a government country and the list goes on and on

were those peasants crowded into a ting strip of land that’s been completely leveled by bombs that weren’t even dropped by the regime who rules them? it’s hilarious for coddled americans to pontificate from the couch on this. i mean, what do you think would happen if palestinians were able to get weapons to fight hamas? you think israel wouldn’t kill them too? in israel’s mind, being in the presence of weapons is a death sentence. ps if you actually studied history, you’d know it wasn’t “peasants” that carried out those revolutions.

"According to me when you support a terrorist organization like most Palestinians do you have to take what you get. Pretty simple." "Palestinians support Hamas. They are accountable." Took 30 seconds to pull these two up from this thread. He very clearly thinks it's okay to kill civilians if they support Hamas. He's welcome to come on here and say otherwise.

how? they have no weapons, no food, and their homes are gone. how are they supposed to get rid of a highly trained, experienced military group with tunnels throughout the whole territory? the IDF hasn't been able to do it in 6 months with the world's greatest weaponry and you think Gazans could do it, but are choosing not to? Reminder: Hamas has never won a majority of votes in an election.

"If I was a civilian, I'd stay away from Hamas at all costs. Let them die. I don't want to die. " Great and where would you go? Idk if you noticed, but the vast majority of Palestinians moved to the "safe zones" Israel designated only for those zones to get bombed anyway. If you were a Gazan civilians, you wouldn't have a choice to "stay away" from Hamas. They're there whether you like it or not. I think the fact you even typed that out reveals an unbelievable ignorance and naivety about what's going on in Gaza. This isn't your neat and tidy fantasy scenario in your head.

Your definition of human shield is so broad that the IDF does actually use them. All of their military bases are surrounded/embedded within the settlements on the border. A huge percentage of the victims of 10/7 were killed in the crossfire between the IDF and Hamas in these settlements. If Israel was truly concerned about protecting its citizens, it wouldn't be promoting the settlements on the Gaza border or illegal settlements in the West Bank. But to answer what I "want," I've been clear on this the whole time. I want Israel to take place in a *serious* political process to restore human rights to the occupied territories. That is the only path to long-term peace. If you do not provide a legitimate path to peace through politics, the Palestinians will always turn to armed resistance because it's their only option. In terms of this conflict, Israel should accept the ceasefire deal to return the hostages, pull out of Gaza, and let the international community come to the aid of the millions of Palestinians who are now refugees and on the verge of famine.

So you disagree with @JimmyBT that Gazan civilians are fair game because they support Hamas (we don't even know that's true for the record)? I'm glad that you see the light and agree with my original post (or so it seems). I've been incredible consistent that the murder of civilians is always wrong, the killing of armed combatants, especially terrorists is allowed.
