  1. Given that the law is clear on your debt with respect to taxes, it really is not your money even if it is tied to your employment. You may have earned it in a very real sense, but in doing so your incur a liability that you can not shake, so do not act like you are somehow more virtuous accepting a tax cut than a student is enforcing their rights according to the contract they signed. A friend of mine use to say his kids' idea of sharing is "you give to me". You sound like one of his kids when you claim that a tax cut is getting your money back.
  2. OK, you had me confused by the way you worded that.
  3. The history lesson, while interesting, is not what his statement, nor my reply, was about. He used the words "right now". I disagree with that sentiment. What happened from 2016 to 2021 does not change my opinion. The fact remains that the US has the defending world silver medalist at 65. Your qualifier that 65 is the weakest weight in the US is also not what his statement, nor my reply, was about. When you have silver or better at 8 of 10 weights (and 5 of 6 Olympic weights), then sure a weight with a silver medalist can be considered relatively weak, but that does not make it weak in the absolute.
  4. Are you suggesting a politician would do something that is potentially popular with the populace that won them the popular vote? I am shocked, shocked, I tell you. One more question, how have you felt about tax cuts?
  5. I am not saying that at all. I will not speak for any government derived headline numbers ever. No one knows the details of how they came up with those numbers. Did they include future anticipated forgiveness? Is it just past forgiveness that was incorrectly accounted for? Is it some combination of the two? Or some other way? If you have ever tried to decipher a federal budget press release (never mind the actual budget document) you will know what I am talking about. Only a governmental entity can claim a larger number is a reduction.
  6. That is not what this is. The announcement today has to do with fixing the existing broken program regarding income based repayment plans. The issue here was that the federal government was not honoring the contract they signed. They were failing to count certain payments toward the required payments. That is what is being addressed.
  7. I agree. I said "due to forfeit" intentionally.
  8. He did. The default came the match before that when the Iranian who beat Zahid in round 1 defaulted to Finesilver because Iranians will not wrestle Israelis.
  9. You know what else is absurd? None of the three gold medalists for the US won any more than Lee. When else has it happened that the US got three gold medals due to forfeits?
  10. Absurd statement when the defending silver medalist at the weight is from the US and the guy who beat him took silver at a ranking tournament.
  11. Yep. I will put it in words you will understand because you have heard them your whole life. You are wrong.
  12. There are problems with your theory. The city data is portion of searches in that city, not portion of searches overall. So if DC had one search and that one search was "twitter" it would register as 100 even though that is a miniscule portion of all searches. The other problem is that the word twitter is popoular where population is high, which is also where field offices tend to be. Correlation is not causation. Of course, I know every word I just typed was wasted on you. Look out behind you, its the FCBIA.
  13. Wow, when all you have is a hammer everything looks like a nail. Why would anyone google the word Twitter? Besides, it is too regular to attribute to human activity. Humans are more random.
  14. That they do not pay someone to search their name at 2AM?
  15. It has the hallmarks of something that has been programmed. People partying aren't using Google to search for the term Twitter. They already have Twitter on their phone. Perhaps this is something in the Twitter marketing budget.
  16. What I find interesting is why is Twitter twice as popular at 2AM every day in the US than it is at 2PM? Something seems amiss.
  17. Agreed. Many polititians are blow hards. Asking a question means they have to stop talking to hear an answer. They do not like to stop talking.
