Abe and Brooks have wrestled twice, two decisions. It may be that 157 is the weight PSU is most likely to win after the Champs, but he's still a relatively unproven freshman and it's a funky match up. I say that as somebody who picked Haines.

Gomez is awesome. Iowa's biggest team-wide deficiency is most of them seem wholly uncomfortable in scramble situations. Spencer, Real, and Siebrecht are the only ones who seem not terrified there. Cass is ok for a HWT.

He gave up two backpoints trying for a reversal, which he got, followed by 4 backpoints, and then a fall. Yes he doesn't have a Metcalf/Brands tank. I do agree with the insight that wrestlers who don't get pinned or teched in the first period have a better chance of winning than those that do get pinned or teched.

I don't know what to make of that match, ither than Woods gas tank still a little suspect. Zargo got that one TD and...seemed content with that?

Obviously could see flips at 149-165 and HW. Less likely but possible flips at 141 and 197. Lots of moving parts. Penn State could also get bonus at 184 and, potentially, 197. depending on how flat Warner is. Iowa doesn't really have a path to more bonus that Lee other than if he were to put Kerk feet to back, which I doubt.

Cardinale, Courtney, McKee, Barnett are all possible quarters for him (although we all know McKee will lose first round and wrestle back for third) and I think all are very tough for a sucked out Glory. GLory is the better wrestler than all of them, but it will depend on the weight cut how tough that match up for him is.

I see it more as a product of less top end talent and Bartlett hasn't faced those guys yet, but we'll see. If he keeps it legit close (and not just points are close but h doesn't do anything dangerous) or beats Woods, that will shut me up.

Lol, what has Bartlett done so far to end that Era? Still looks like the same guy. Similar at 149, though, to me, he passes the eye test a bit more.
