  1. The point is it’s over three years (your words). Won’t each of them be better off redshirting too??????
  2. NIL has changed the landscape of college sports. In case you haven’t noticed.
  3. Stating facts is not arguing. Good grief.
  4. Have the gophers lost any top recruits to other programs lately??? What happens if he wakes up one day and doesn’t like the room?
  5. Five top 15 ISH in the next three years. Got it.
  6. Salazar was a round of 12 last year. IF McEnelly is beating him in the room (and beating other wrestlers that are beating Salazar) then he’s pretty damn close to being an AA now.
  7. What makes you think what’s happened in the last ten years is going to change at Minnesota???
  8. I asked a question there jr. I didn’t claim anything.
  9. You still haven’t said what they’ll be contending for if he redshirts
  10. You know how his body is going to grow in the next year. Wow.
  11. The point is he’s the best 184 pounder they have today. He should wrestle
  12. Yet he can’t get there?????? If he could he’d be there now.
  13. What happens when McEnelly ends up at 197 in a year or two ?
  14. Gophers might be better with McEnelly at 184, Salazar up at 197 and Joles at HWT.
  15. Wrestle the best wrestlers while you have them. Contending for what ???
  16. He’s only the back up because of the shirt. I think they should pull it.
  17. Actually had Brooks and Hidlay not moved up it easily would have been 197 again this year as the weakest. Last years runner up has been manhandled by Brooks and looked overmatched against Smith from Maryland already this season.
  18. Good question. Might be a little early to tell but I’ll go with 125 at this point. The highest returner and last years runner up has multiple losses already this year.
  19. 197 has some top tier talent to watch this year. It won’t be the weakest weight class again this year.
  20. Shapiro for President
  21. Interesting that he never wrestled once (those four years) at the weight he wrestled last year in college. Again, it just seems to me that he’s better off even at 184 than he would be dropping all the way to 157. Would be interesting to know what happens in the room between him and Caliendo.
  22. That’s how old I am. I should have said 220 instead of HWT. There was no 220 in my day and for some reason my beleaguered brain considers 220/285 both HWTS. I also should have said he didn’t look like he weighed much more than 170 for any of them. I don’t keep up much with high school regulations on what weights you can and can’t wrestle based on what you weighed on a certain day but it looks like in 2020 on Jan 23 he wrestled 195, on Jan 25 he wrestled 3 matches at 182 and 1 match at 195 and on Jan 30 he wrestled a match at 220. Point being he wrestled up a lot for competition and dual impact and to me would make getting down to 157 in college and remaining an AA candidate unlikely( In my humble lack of Minnesota high school weigh in regulations opinion of course).
  23. Which ever Short I was listening to did (IMO) a great job on the mic Sounds like too many skeletons to move up to the next mic level though huh????
  24. Well I’ll be dipped in shi$. My memory does suck. Disregard everything I’ve said.
