  1. Hes pretty good at knocking off Number 1 ranked Hawkeyes..
  2. Once again the number 1 ranked wrestler loses immediately after being ranked number 1
  3. Bartlett is one of the wrestlers that I hate watching live. All his matches are so unnecessarily close.
  4. How are you basing this question though? There are obvious examples of guys who didnt win a title that later went on the have great international success after college, but then youre factoring in improvements and abiltiies they may not have had when in college. Imo to answer this question fairly you would ONLY include accomploshments that took place up until graduation.
  5. Correct, Kasak had 3:19 RT going into the 3rd thus RT was locked up. Has long as he didnt get turned or give up any penalty/stalling points he was going to get the tech.
  6. He was trying to but Spangler was deliberately staying down holding onto the Davis' wrist to avoid getting the intentional release and run out the clock.
  7. Hence why I said "We'll see" I didnt need basically call the kid a liar like you did.
  8. In my first post it was the scenario, but since you want to play semantics, all scenarios can be hypothetical. In very tight matchs between two very close competitors having choice absolutely can effect momentum and 3rd period strategies.
  9. No youre wrong. Again the straegty you propose of Kueter "living" on Hutch's legs would not work. It would also gas Kueter out due to being stuck under a full 285lber giving Hutch the opportunity to smuther Kueter underneath and spin behind. Scoring a slick outside shot like Hill did IS NOT LIVING ON HUTCH'S LEGS. SO YOU ARE WRONG.
  10. I literally gave you the secnario. And yes it happened to me. I had a rival in high school where we always wrestled close matches. I was 4-1 against him. The one loss took place because of that exact scenario.
  11. Yes. I feel strategically if im going to be in a 1-0 win match, in the 3rd period its easier to get and escape and not get taken down, than it is to ride someone for the final 2 min of the match.
  12. Living on his legs assumes hes gridning shot after shot being under him. Thats not what would work. Being on his feet and taking slick outside shots (like the one Hill did for the takedown) after gassing gour opponent out is what would work. So yes you are wrong.
  13. Hill didnt use the "living on his legs" strategy. Kueter using the "living on his legs" strategy would have been very bad had he wrestled. Wear him out froma distance, make Hutch gas then out slick him for an outside takedown is what would have worked, and what worked for Hill. Big difference buddy.
  14. Fix on Clash of Combat podcast yesterday said he wont go 125 for NCAAs.. we'll see.
  15. He maybe have taken a ton of shot but he also could have gotten smuthered under neath. Being in on 285lbs Hut's legs would not have been a good strategy for Kueter.
  16. It would be pretty wild if Fix drops to 125... would obviously become ranked number 1... makes the finals and loses to the 20 somethingth seed maintaining the chaotic nature of the weight class this year.
  17. Youre asking the wrong person. I fully acknowledge i have no idea on the logic behind these rankings.
  18. Sure.. but rankings are rankings.. and a guy being ranked number 2 his weight class being ranked higher in the over all over the guy hes ranked behind just doesnt make sense to me.
  19. I'll never understand the logic here... Vito is ranked 5 over all.. in the pound for pound... yet is ranked behind Crookham at 133..
  20. Bartlett BEING Bartlett winning in OT in a match he should have dominantly won.
  21. He got a little sloppy in the last few seconds but definitely could have gotten the major. With as chaotic as 125 he looks like he will be in the mix...
