  1. Desselle will be a great addition there. Heavily recruited in the SoCon but I think he made the right choice. Give him a couple years in that room and he'll be on the podium in March.
  2. Wrestled at small college in MidTN. That post of the pins spiking in 2006 make a ton of sense. That was my first year in college and can tell you just how many lights are on each of the ceilings of the gyms around here. I wasn't good.
  3. This is all so confusing. Is Gable returning or not?
  4. I didnt say that. I asked someone to make sense of him going DOWN in the rankings when he dropped weight. That's it. Make that make sense.
  5. So Palmer wins the Clarion Open at a weight lower than what he was previously ranked at. Beating Blaze who won over Ramos. I know there was no head to head matchup between the two but... New rankings come out and he's ranked LOWER than he was at the higher weight. Someone make that make any sense at all.
  6. Landon Desselle, Fargo AA, Beast of the East AA, Knockout AA commited to Ohio State last week.
  7. I'll throw a Tennessee kid's name out there to bump this thread Landon Desselle just committed to Ohio State. Fargo AA and Beast of the East AA as well. Tore his acl last year and medaled in Beast and Knockout xmas classic on one leg. Not wrestling at all during the offseason while rehabbing that injury kept him off these rankings. Hopefully we see him back to full form soon.
  8. No other state seeds like this. My suggestion of zoom was only for the coaches who wouldn't make it in person. There's absolutely no good reason why this tournament cannot be seeded the same as any other tournament during the year.
  9. Idk how much stock there is in rumors anymore but the inside-ish story I heard is he's going to have extensive rehab just to be able to walk again.
  10. I'd love to see Boykin down to 197 but I'm not sure he's really concerned on cracking the lineup.
  11. Chattanooga Mocs Blue vs Gold results 1. Brayden Palmer (Gold) pinned Chaz McDonald (Blue) 2. Blake Boarman (Gold) 16-1 tech fall over Hayden Halter (Blue) 3. Ethan Lipsey (Blue) 11-3 maj. dec. over Dom DiTomasso (Gold) 4. Dayne Dalrymple (Blue) pinned Carson Chalk (Gold) 5. Isaiah Powe (Gold) 20-5 tech fall over Yuta Otero (Blue) 6. Jackson Hurst (Blue) 14-1 maj. dec. over Austin Paradice (Gold) 7. Kamdyn Munro (Gold) 17-1 tech fall over Wyatt Gibbs (Blue) 8. Sergio Desiante (Blue) 19-4 tech fall over Landon Lewis (Gold) 9. Logan Webster (Blue) 15-2 maj. dec. over Kendrick Curtis (Gold) 10. Ethan Vergara (Gold) 4-2 maj. dec. over Kaleb Snodgrass (Blue) 11. Ty Tice (Gold) pinned Chaz McDonald (Blue) Only real thing to note is that SoCon champ and NCAA qualifier (hey thats a big deal for us in TN) Brayden Palmer has dropped to 125.
  12. The way Tennessee seeds the state tournament is awful.. In order to be seeded you HAVE to have medaled at the state tournament previously AND win the district, then regional tournament. You could be a 3x state champ, lose in the region finals, and be thrown randomly into the bracket. No other criteria. The highest medals finishers get the higher seeds. If there's two state champions in a bracket whoever won the title at the higher weight class gets the higher seed. Then the rest of the bracket is drawn out by regional finishes. 1v4 and 2v3. Now, while I admit I do enjoy having the brackets drop the day after the regional tournaments are finished, I wish they'd just sit down and seed these things out. With the new technology out there (zoom, skype etc) every coach could be present for the seeding meeting. But TN sucks and wont change. So yeah.
  13. You are, in fact, mistaken. He graduated at 18 in December of '21.
  14. So the wwe developmental center is in Orlando. However, wrestlers have their own schools across the country. That said, I would think while he's competing he's likely not training in ring.
  15. There was a kid in TN named Turbo Smith 1 seed and was dismissed from the state tourney his sr year for smoking in the stadium. Then kidnapped a girl and ran from the cops. Wild stuff.
  16. I'm sure I'm the minority here, but what did TnT do after he killed DS?
  17. I'd be inclined to agree if the behavioral incidents happened after the kids were already at the school. TnT recruited them AFTER the issues came up. One is more than likely going to prison. It didnt stop them from actively pursuing them. They have to take blame in this.
  18. They let a kid wrestle on the team who told other members of his own team he was going to off their parents right in front of them...multiple times. This was AFTER he transferred in because he was kicked off his previous team for antics we all saw on national television. Im not sure morals are very high on the brands recruiting requirements anymore
