  1. are you having a difficult time wrapping your head around it? it's pretty simple. and exponentially more simple than what we have currently.
  2. @Dark Energy credit yourself for the genesis of it. i feel (in a lot of different aspects of the world) that we add layers of rules that make things really out of whack that we should often times just revert to very simple structures.
  3. all investment based. real projects certainly have investments, but the viable ones have legitimate application. RAE does. there are those based on speculation, and those (far fewer) based on front-facing product. the reason many poo-poo crypto is b/c most of them are indeed scams and schemes. y'all are just not familiar enough to form an intelligent position and i'm not trying to be insulting about that.
  4. Mike, you're a very very smart dude. you also have your mind made up and like to poo poo crypto. viable projects will work and be sustainable. those that are a shell game will be gone. if you don't believe that, you don't. i respect you. but i believe it. i'm literally living in the world that works.
  5. for fucks sake they tally all the points from the 4 ranking tourneys and worlds. then they come up with the rankings/standings you are complaining about now. then they remove all points except for those earned at worlds. then they start over. this isn't fucking hard. (that's what she said)
  6. just check the uww calendar. you're confused.
  7. you're still confused. there's no ranking series tournaments after worlds.
  8. no one is saying/claiming DT/KD is or isn't the best. it's a program to reward participation in major events. this has been their system for 2 or 3 years now. and i like it.
  9. Cohlton Shultz probably. which sucks for my fantasy team
  10. Brooklyn Dodger is banned. but he's back as Max86 which i assume is code for he's been 86'd the MAX number of times. @BobDole zap his ass
  11. @Dark Energy i love the idea and i'm going to talk about it on the show on monday. one of the reasons i love message boards. very intelligent community (this side of NJ Dan) that has great ideas and fosters great discussion (and perhaps sometimes change)
  12. the option to go with one of three weight categories is a trainwreck. you're going to have states with those three and a few states with their own version. then, what does USAW do? Then what does, say S32 do. Then you have international / UWW weights. it creates a ton of issues the most important of which is a universal product and the least of which is a pain in the ass for rankings.
  13. an example of what? that you don't need a weight in the middle b/c they can figure it out and still be uber successful? your thesis was that kids leave the sport b/c their isn't a weight class for them. i'm asking for examples. as a very small high school kid, i wouldn't mind 118 for the kurt mchenry's of the world. but pragmatically, that's an outlier. ask any college coach in the country what's the most difficult weight to recruit and he'll tell you 125. because they just never stay small enough.
  14. when did this happen? ever? when was there a viable DI prospect between 197 and 285 that said 'ef it'. please tell me you have more than your john wise anecdote.
  15. ...Top 25 in the next year or so if Gaitan stayed committed there. pretty impressive job by their staff. I hope they can pick up another stud or two.
  16. i don't get a salary. and im not beholden to rokfin. i could choose another platform (or a site of my own) any time i want.
