    Looks like Jimenez in WFS at 50kg is the only high schooler in the finals. She faces Hildebrandt tomorrow. At 57kg in MFS, the three high schoolers there are alive for third. The winner Blaze and Lilledahl will face Fix. The winner of that match will then face Forrest for third. (Forrest will win by injury default over Suriano and Richards.) At 74kg Lockett is alive for third, and at 86kg Mirasola is eliminated after an impressive showing.

    JB is more than the guy who won more golds for the US than anyone else. People forget now, but when JB first won a gold medal in 2011, the US struggled to win golds. In the ten years before he won his first gold -- from 2001 to 2010 -- the US won a total of 3 golds. Then JB came in and raised the bar for everyone.

    Brooks is a beast. He's been wrestling all day. Pours it on everyone towards the end of matches. At 10:45pm he takes out a TOUGH Valencia who sat out until the challenge semis. Wow. Nevertheless, I wish Brooks and Zahid could have a best of three series because that match felt a little too glitchy.

    NLWC at the OTTs so far 57kg finals is NLWC (Gilman) vs. Lee 65kg finals is NLWC (Lee) vs. NLWC (Zain) 74kg finals is NLWC (Nolf) vs. NLWC (Dake) 86kg finals is NLWC (Brooks)/Valencia vs. NLWC (DT) 97kg finals is NLWC (Snyder) vs. Trumble 125kg finals is Parris vs. Zillmer/Gwiz That's 7 or 8 out of 12 finalists coming from NLWC. Nutty.
