  1. Gotch Smith just to start and it’ll be real easy to add names depending on how tomorrow goes
  2. That’s too much typing. Is there a way to make it a signature? im actually kinda leaning to Lee takes off rest of year.
  3. Not the same. At all. Gable was going to be undefeated in his career and had pinned his way through an ncaa tournament. Besides.. if you actually look into who Owinga and Ramos are.. they weren’t/aren’t scrubs off the street… at all
  4. I don’t do bets. And I just own it if I’m wrong. But his bully style wrestling is not a fit for the Senior Circuit
  5. Lee had been wrestling with the dangerous type of arrogance and bully boy attitude that always makes me think a guy can be beaten when someone can find a way to stay in a match with them.. did I think it’d be Ramos.. no. I honestly thought he’d just fizzle out on the Senior Circuit. But I’m not surprised either When I suggested that he was a bully boy wrestler who’s cardio would be looked at much differently if he wasn’t a Hawkeye and other reasons.. I got screeched at.
  6. Whilst I know some will whine about non top 5% recruits and teams AAing and winning. And are crying about the seeds. It’s great to see competitive depth and more schools having success. If people actually want wrestling to to do well. This is good. Competitive depth is.. a good thing. The whining is getting old already. Even before the 5 threads whining about “seeding start
  7. I’d be okay for hs with this if nearfall was done like college with 2 and 4
  8. What’s a place to get the updated pdf to print?
  9. Part of PSUs sauce for their guys performing so well at Nationals is that they emphasize that any success in wrestling is temporary so just relax and compete hard.. Add in the religious aspect. As in the trusting of a higher power do not stressing about things out of their control.. it leads to guys doing well. Now for the people that get unnecessarily triggered by the mention of religion and/or like to do the “ugh I’m soo superior because I don’t believe in religion” schickt.. I say this as someone who is not religious.. it’s possible to understand why believing in a higher power helps them compete better AND not believe in religion
  10. @Jason Bryant can we get the academic all American list? Or does it come out after the season?
  11. that sucks :(. Represented the SoCon and the South well. Was only a 1 time North Carolina state champ as well. Bentley can be as annoying as Zeke sometimes but he can coach as well as anyone
  12. People are allowed to have their opinions. But it does get tiresome when people are told certain things that jive with their.. elementary attitudes and they get in a huff
  13. I think that Cali really leaves a lot of good wrestlers at home, especially international and collegiate because they don’t have 2-3 divisions. The not caring about presentation and being timely has been getting worse the more “AAUified” wrestling gets
  14. Buddy. I’m well aware you’ll double down on being pedantic. So here we go… The amount of kids who can play more than 1-2 sports in high school has shrunk because of the direction of things… Especially because sports are so much more expensive now.. working class families can’t really always afford more than 1-2 sports… I kinda doubt youve been around nfl or DI football players that much if you think that they prove the multi sport thing. If you want to quibble over exact terms or use a known headcase as your thing that’s fine. If you want to hate on Askren because he’s vocal about a common but quiet view of Bono.. especially by former athletes of his… that’s fine
  15. You’re getting pedantic because instead of understanding there’s a middle ground between your La La lane of playing multiple sports in hs like it’s 1981…and having prepubescent kids overtrain… If you want to quibble over exact ages.. cool. Literally everyone else gets my point. Especially because you’re ignoring the most important point… the AWA coaches don’t run off or completely ignore the kids who may take a couple years to catch on… which is what most “elite” clubs do
