And Haines is a perfect example of why PSU should stop poaching. Let’s see them coach him up like they did this season. And Nolf wasn’t showing “flashiness” like that as a freshman. He was mainly a goer and a grinder as a frosh.. what they hell are people on about saying he’s not special…

Just remember kids. Wrestling is only 60-70% “you get what earn”. If you’re a top coach or team. You pretty much will get the calls or the challenges

Eh, it’s actually a sharp contrast and two camps. There’s a good chunk of “liberals” in wrestling. They are “usually” pretty “conservative” about things like hard work and whatnot. I’ve found grandstanders like Timmy boy(Foley) to be the exception not the rule. Ironically. You also have a lot of coaches who may lean conservative but will trigger both left and right because they will casually and matter of a factly, talk about everyday cases of racism that happen all the time. So you get this weird dichotomy of limousine liberals looking down or criticizing the coaches for holding kid’s accountable and other such “conservative” things. And, conservatives getting in a huff because the coach they know isn’t liberal.. matter of a factly talks about actual racist stuff their athletes go through or deal with. I know football coaches familiar with this dichotomy as well. TLDR.. it’s more complicated than you think

I don’t relish it. At all. I’ve actually defended his decision to wrestle at Iowa.. but I’m not shocked he lost. Kinda figured if he lost it would be exactly like that. I also figured he wouldn’t show up. Is what it is. He wrestled with a bit of an entitled attitude this season that made him even more vulnerable in my opinion. I hope I lose my sig bet with Bnt, but I was right about Lee so far

Garland has less admin support and resources.. and you know very well that UVA is not an “athletics oriented” school like VT…
