  1. What's more interesting is that Caliendo has the red hair but Kennedy has the Irish name
  2. 125: Joey Cruz, Oklahoma 133: Brody Teske, Northern Iowa and Penn Staye 141: Real Woods, Stanford 149: Victor Voinovich, Oklahoma State 157: Jared Franek, North Dakota State 165: Mikey Caliendo, North Dakota State 174: 184 197 285: Gable Steveson, Minnesota If Ayala gets injured, Siebrecht loses to Voinovich, and they manage to sign Gable Steveson, looks like a max of seven. Upper weights they don't have many transfers (yet)
  3. This is awesome news! Will they be Big12 or Socon?
  4. My favorite way to end practice was King of the Mountain. Everyone lines up by weight. The two smallest guys face off until one gets the takedown. You stay on the mat and face the next guy up (and so on) until you are taken down. Another one fun for kids is everyone has to crab walk and you try to break others down. Last man standing.
  5. This thread is about Ben Askren moving this weekend and wanted to know if anyone could lend a hand - he's got a pullout couch thats very difficult to hoist up in the air by a single person
  6. Cal Poly 125 lb Antonio Lorenzo in the portal. The two-time national qualifier has two years left of eligibility. Last year had wins over Nico Provo, Carter Bailey, and Noah Surtin. 125 is always a position of need so he should find a spot
  7. I'm not aware of this story, but I'll take a guess - was Jon Trenge the guy from D11?
  8. Hey save it for the pride thread pal!
  9. I caught wind of this from a tweet by @Husker_Duin which he informed a tweeter follower that AJ would never make 197 again
  10. I think Mesenbrink will win the title but if anyone takes him down for 165 it will be Caliendo. With Carr and O'Toole as outside chances but very unlikely;)
  11. The example you cited above is not about cursing, but about oversharing and lack of appropriate discretion. Similar to you, I find oversharing to be a social faux pas and unappetizing. A well placed F bomb on the other hand, can add just the right emphasis to an impassioned statement.
  12. I don't find cursing to be "trashy" but I find it to be casual. I don't take offense to curse words. It wouldn't impact me one way or another if they cursed. Some people are famously bothered by curse words. Ray Allen for example
  13. Truax is a natural 184 - he was undersized last season and only bumped up for the sake of the team. He's happy to be back at his natural weight. For the Cowboys, I'm exited to see Jamison
  14. Its the younger but larger brother. No way he beats Zerban 57 so seems like he would go 49
  15. Sounds like it is speculation from the Iowa board about who may be in trouble with the gambling scandal. As told to me earlier, I don't believe this is verified - so just speculation at this point
  16. Huh - it filtered out the word which would best be sounded out by saying [a door a bull].
  17. Anyways you can just keep using me as the guinea pig. I'm the guy that fails every phishing test sent by my own company (HERE: PHOTOS OF *I have used this word too much* KITTENS!)
  18. Between the two of us, we need to keep pushing the narrative of Teske and Ayala switching. I never heard it was a possibility but I think it makes a lot of sense. Especially with Ayala being injury prone- build more mass in his upper body to help compensate for the should while bumping up to 33.
  19. I think its official now that Caliendo is the second most valuable transfer of the offseason so far. Mesenbrink is top because he has all four years left. Will be fun to see these guys lock horns
  20. Caliendo is the best of the bunch in my opinion. Problem is that 165 is the hardest class. He's one of a handful of people that has beat Shane Griffith and did so as a redshirt freshman out of a mid major program and earned All American. However this all shakes out, I would prioritize the correct placement of Caliendo above all else.
