To your point, it's not the case today, but the feeling at the time, when you had to wrestling someone older than the age of 23, was that the 23+ person was had an advantage. Again, that was then. There was no medical redshirt that I can remember., no Olympic redshirt, no Covid year, almost no gray-shirting and mostly 18 year old freshmen.
