  1. lol...came here to give you props for your Nolf pick. Happy to be wrong if it means an American winning! Nolf is steadily improving his freestyle game. Beat Bizhoev (2021 world bronze) last January and now the win over Emami (2022 world bronze).
  2. Overall great analysis but Nolf winning would be a pretty big surprise. 2X world silver Salkazanov is the clear favorite to win gold. He's on the other side of the bracket and will likely face 2022 world bronze Younes Emami in the second round. Also, Nolf's second match against Gadzhiev will be tough...he was a U20 world champ last year.

  4. Again UWW is responsible for the entirety of the World Cup production. All we (Flo) can do is communicate any production issues to the team here at the venue. We've let them know about all the issues - blackouts during cuts, switching to Mat A, weird overlay, etc. And we agree with you, not great.
  5. Friendly reminder that this is a UWW produced event
  6. It was just announced at the press conference that Musukaev was not able to make it here and is out so scratch that match. However, Ghasempour said he might wrestle 97kg against the USA so that would be a #1 vs #1 matchup with him vs Snyder.
  7. At 65kg in the Iran vs All-World team #1 Rahman Amouzad will wrestle #2 Ismail Musukaev. They wrestled at worlds where Amouzad won 6-0 That's the only potential #1 vs #2 matchup.
  8. Yep, just a typo on my end, my bad. Nolf and Cenzo are at 74kg for Team USA at the World Cup
  9. In the interview he did with Olanowski he said he's going back home because he misses his family. Geno's also not listed on the current world cup rosters that were sent to me last night. Seems odd he wouldn't stay another few days to compete at an event like the World Cup. However, when you're a 3X world champ I guess you can do what you want
  10. Incredible matchups all throughout: USA vs Georgia should be really competitive 65kg - Yianni vs Lomtadze (past 61kg world champ) 70kg - Pantaleo vs Iakobishvili (past 65kg world champ, 3X world bronze at 70kg) 79kg - Burroughs vs Gamkrelidze (2022 U23 world champ, beat the guy that beat Starocci) 92kg - Jackson vs Maisuradze (2022 senior world bronze, lost to Cardenas at u23s) 97kg - Snyder vs Matcharashvili (2022 senior world bronze) 125kg - Gwiz/Zillmer vs Manashvili (u23 world silver, teched Cassioppi) USA vs Iran potential gold 65kg - Yianni vs Amouzad (world finals rematch) 70kg - Pantaleo vs little Yazdani (65kg world silver in 2021) 74kg - Dake vs Firouzpour (2022 u23 world champ) 79kg - Burroughs vs Nokhodi/Savadkouhi (Nokhodi lost to JB in last to world finals, Savadkouhi just beat Sidakov and Nokhodi. Also Savadkouhi almost beat JB in February) 86kg - Zahid vs Karimi (3X world medalist) 92kg - Jackson vs Firouzpour (2022 U20/U23 world Champ and Iran's clear #2 at 92kg behind Ghasempour) 125kg - Gwiz/Zillmer vs Masoumi (only 18 years old, lost to Zare like 11-4 this year, 2022 U20/U23 world champ. Teched Nick Feldman at U20 worlds. Teched Manashvili who teched Cassioppi at U23 Worlds). Iran vs World All Star team will be really good too. I have Iran winning 65, 79, 92, and 125. Toss-ups at 70 and 86. World All-Stars favorites at 57, 61, 74, and 97. I think Iran will win one of the toss-ups and have a greater chance at bonus in the one's they're favored.
  11. I believe JD did this to personally attack me and Michigan fans everywhere
