  1. When they change the speed limit do people sue because they used to be able to go faster? When they made the Heil rule going into his senior year, did he sue because he used to be able to look at the lights without penalty?
  2. The same as who? To me it looked like you were saying as to people from previous years.
  3. But that has nothing to do with Willie's idea other than he's making a suggestion to eliminate these looser (or whatever term you want to use) rules.
  4. Originally it was rare to see many 6th years given because the intent was that they had 2 season ending injury years. It became more common as the rule was loosened and allowed one serious injury year if that came after an earlier red shirt year (I think as a first year but not sure). I don't think the theory behind this idea was to give them an equal chance to what was before because it was getting out of hand.
  5. Some think my knowledge is more hysterical than historical but thanks.
  6. And that wasn't meant as any kind of criticism. It was simply to help you figure what years to look through. Obviously the people to check are 4xAAs- generally 3-5th. The farther back you go the fewer cons bouts there would likely be.
  7. Full wrestlebacks weren't implemented until 1996. Prior to that you had to lose to a quarterfinalist which was implemented in 1986. Prior to that you had to lose to a semi-finalist. I believe that was implemented in 1972. Prior to that it was the finalists. Way before that (30s...) there was a system used that they would determine 1st place on the first day. Then on the second day anyone he beat wrestled for 2nd. Then on the third day those he beat (not sure it that applied to either day or not) wrestled for 3rd.
  8. Did we get another transfer that I hadn't heard of yet?
  9. First semester freshmen can ONLY be attached, upperclass not neccesarily.
  10. You were 100% correct! You mangled it. Condomitti!
  11. Pretty clearly says the opposite. Only those graduating in 2021 got the extension at their same school. They can't deny them from transferring anyway and competing elsewhere so that couldn't be controlled by them.
  12. And my point was that you didn't say that about getting an extra competition year, you only said an extra year which could be interpreted as in not getting another redshirt year.
  13. This isn't entirely accurate either. At least not entirely complete. Yes, if you wrestled that year you are able to get a fifth ACTIVE year. But if you red shirted that year, you are able to get another red shirt year. The covid year means that it doesn't count against your NCAA D1 clock. 2020-2021 is a bonus year. From an NCAA (not necessarily an Ivy League-or any other conference or school) eligibility standpoint, the college year 2019-2020 is immediately followed by 2021-2022. If you think of it this way, all the other rules still apply.
  14. Except he wasn't really taunting him. He was telling him to get up because no one would believe it. One interesting thing about the photo is when you look at the film. This pose was just a split second.
  15. You mean like a that's what she said response?
  16. Do you see a Figure 13-1?
