  1. Meanwhile, in real life, he has had multiple high level recruits (top five recruit/age group world champ level) not place at NCAA. Cael is doing the best job of anyone out there, but lets not forget that he has had some "can't miss" studs miss.
  2. Diakomihalis family if very Greek. "Yianni " is "John" in Greek. His birth name is John, but some relatives called him "Yianni" as a nickname when he was young, and it stuck.
  3. He still has Haines, Starocci, Nolf, Dake all around his weight. I assume that Gomez is still there. Maybe Bekzod? Others?
  4. I'm not sure about his chances, but will agree that he is a different type of human. I was privileged to be able to watch him train at a workout as the 2000 trials were imminent. He was drilling technique HARD. He had two separate training partners who were rotating in on him, a new guy in his face immediately after he took down the first. This went on and on and on. It seemed like 30-45 minutes, but I wasn't keeping track and it was decades ago. His gas tank and work ethic were incredible. The pace was astounding, especially for such a large human being.
  5. Does Will really have the power to do all these things?
  6. Nolf looked amazing at nationals his senior year after hurting his knee earlier in the season in a dual. The Brands/Brooks match that I am referring to was not freestyle, but was at Big 10, I think. Brooks was clearly hurt but made up a big deficit to win the match. Very impressive. The Downey loss was in freestyle the same year, I believe.
  7. I thought you were talking conditioning after the first minute!
  8. The professional study was deleted when TheMat went down.
  9. Eierman and Cass were both clearly injured in post-season matches that they ended up winning. I'm pretty sure both were hurt in Big 10 semis and forfeited finals. You can visibly see them getting injured. For Eierman, it was an ACL. I don't think he was held together by tape before tearing the ACL. Cass either. Marinelli, I was thinking back to the year before when he injured a rib vs. Griffith. Kem is another story, but still made it out to the mat more than Robbie Howard. Kerk has been wrestling with a torn ACL for years. Starocci needed surgery after the season last year. Brooks "hurt" when Downey teched him at Olympic trials. (Was it his bad ankle that almost cost him the Nelson Brands match) Then you have the whole Nolf knee situation his senior year. How many injury redshirts did Cassar need? Three?
  10. Hmmm. Eierman, Cassioppi, Marinelli during 2022 post-season tournaments. Their injuries were all professionally diagnosed as the result of Iowa style training techniques. RBY, Nolf, Starocci, Brooks, Kerkvliet etc. injuries are due to competing in matches. Interesting.
  11. I guess I'm just pretty amazed that a PSU wrestler was injured. Are they doing 1980s style training?
  12. You know what they say about excuses... "one of the first guys ... with NIL" Really? You don't say?!
  13. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11930177/School-superintendent-says-job-offer-rescinded-addressed-committee-members-ladies.html
  14. He is still training WWE. He was literally at their facility yesterday.
  15. When they returned home from nationals they weren't allowed in the athletic facility, correct? Maybe their keys no longer worked?
  16. Meh. Just doesn't sound as cool and trendy.
  17. There was an interview from '22 season. Nationals I think. RBY said something about being in the mid 140s during the tournament.
  18. Fake news! PSU guys do not get hurt!
