  6. A challenge-fest on Mat B... between McKenna & Yazdanicherati... tied 8-8 w/ criteria to Mc Kenna... challenge lost , McK gets another point w/ 2 sec. to go D3
  7. Abakarov was trailing 1-0 thru into the 2nd period when the ref put Narmandakh the Mongolian on the shot clock... Narmandakh took a shot, Abakarov spun around and proceeded to ankle lace the Mongolian to the moon. TF and a place in the SF for the Albanian world champ. (Arujau still alive... ) D3
  8. Saw the match between Marsteller / Nokhodilarimi of Iran... not pretty to see (great if you're from Iran, though.) D3
  9. I just took a look at Arujau/ Abakarov match just now... it was a positional stand-off. Ref gave Abakarov 2 points for putting Vito on the shot clock in the first & second period. Vito had more shots than Abakarov but he just couldn't penetrate the Albanian's defense. Was expecting more action, not a chess match. D3
  10. They're still wrestling the women's 57Kg qualification matches on Mat A... the men's 61 Kg qual-matches should be next. I gotta sail off to work (meaning I'll be missing Arujau's match. !#$%^&%^%$^@!!!) Tootles! D3 He did! 10-zip! D3
  11. Chance won his opening bout 4-0 over Sari of Turkey... Women have been doing quite well so far (can't say I've seen anyone lost yet.) D3
  12. The started out w/ the women's qualification bouts first... they're starting the final men's FS weights just now. Arujau's bout should be coming up soon. Marsteller is up 4-0 at the break... D3
  13. Yeah... we'll take that, thankewverymuch! D3
  14. The hometown fans gets a champ... 74Kg has Kuramagomedo from Hungary (nor really a Hangarian, is he?) won over Kaipanov of Kazakstan 5-2. The Kazak corner threw the challenge brick, but Challenge LOOST! D3
  15. Me calling "the nits Lee" or the techfall? D3
  16. ... and w/ a simple step out, Nick Lee gives up a TF to Temur Ochir of Mongolia. (Scoring started w/ giving up a 4 pointer earlier.) D3
  17. 65Kg gold medal match coming... the nits Lee is up next. D3
  18. Meanwhile... Richards won the bronze @ 57Kg over the German. D3
  19. Agree w/ that. He'll start @ 4:30am EDT... bright & early. D3
  20. Our old pal Destribats is wrestling on Mat A now... and his singlet looks like he broke out of jail! (Horizontal blue stripes, yikes!) Currently, he's behind the Albanian 5-0 at the break. Gotta shut down. Time for me to go to work. D3
  21. Trying to get results/brackets on the UWW site... they were slow putting up the results @ the U20 Pan Ams, and they are ULTRA slow for this tournament! D3
  22. Lay's potato chips... betcha can't eat just one! (All the above would be so appropriée .) D3
  23. Finesilver won... it was 8-0 last I saw. D3
  24. Right out of the blocks, Valencia wrestled the Iranian and lost 6-3. @ 92Kg... apparently size does matters. D3
