    My man, I am the last person to believe Minnow but I share your sentiments. I just can't wrap my head around Iowa throwing large money to a guy when they may not even finish in the top 3. ( If this is all true) and they have a solid wrestler in Teske. If Nagao goes to Iowa cool, I just don't know why Iowa would throw $$$ his way. Maybe they really need that top 4 finish and it's worth the investment.

    Lots of money to use to try and buy a 2nd place finish. That's still not guaranteed. Gotta feel a bit for Teske.

    And I don't even know much about this Messenbrink kid. Did he have a good RS year? do many people slate him as an immediate AA threat??

    Next season is already in the bag for Penn St. Question is if they land Messenbrink or Nagao could this be the greatest lineup ever? Being 100% serious.

    If Iowa threw anywhere near that amount of money to a Cinderella story type wrestler I think it hurts Iowa's recruitment moving forward. Kid can just commit somewhere for 1-2 years prove himself then ultimately go to Iowa whilst looking for a $$$$ day. It also proves Iowa is willing to spend dough and not have the best interests of the kids who originally committed and been working their a** off in that room for X amount of years.

    Right, and PSU can throw out a couple backups at 125 and 133 all season and still have a cake walk. Oh well.

    I heard the kid got a broken nose and the parents are filing assault charges. Hope this young man gets the help he needs and it will be a valuable lesson in life.

    Sealey has dropped a bit, IMO. I don't think you can fault Lilledahl for losing to another elite wrestler in Bassett. I feel like Hopke has come along late, and really don't know much about him. 1) Ferrari 2) Davino 3) Lilledahl 4) Hopke Sealey: 7-8 right now.

    Very big get. Another top 5 recruit to PSU. Very likely a #1 overall recruit as well.

    More publicity for the sport the better. Don't care if Jerry became a wrestling fan 10 years or 10 days ago; the fact he was able to land Spencer Lee over anyone else says something about Barstool. Good for them if these "Barstool athletes" are getting paid. If not, who knows when we would have heard from Lee.

    From what I've read its not a sure thing, and I doubt all these guys follow him to Norman if the case. Also read around town people really like Frayer to lead the charge- And that would actually be my preference as well if I were a Sooner fan.

    Yeah and? They have (had) a solid team last year with many guys returning. Why not try to run it back. This was never the norm for Northwestern wrestlers in the past, especially all top 3 guys leaving at once.
