    I wasn't talking about booing. There was booing for pretty much every Iowa wrestler. I don't approve. I think it is classless to be honest. What I was talking about is that there was no more of a standing ovation for David Taylor in that video than there was applause after Spencer won. It was pretty much the same. Totally unremarkable.

    Since you were in attendance as was I, how long was Spencer on the mat after his hand was raised? I was on my feet applauding, and before you knew it Spencer was gone and it was on to the next match. The booing before the match I was not a fan of.

    I think that a lot of this depends on how Spencer reacts. If he is focused on his teammates trying to pump them up, his response will be more muted. If he acknowledges the crowd as did Gable, he will probably get a similar response. If he gives the "I can't hear you" move to the crowd, probably not. Anything less that a pin would surprise 99% of the crowd.

    The more equally matched the opponent, the more selective the shots smart wrestlers take. It is easy to shoot more if your opponent is outclassed. If your opponent is great defensively or a good scrambler, you only take shots you think you can finish cleanly.

    I'm a PSU homer and would say that RBY would be crazy to go under Spencer Lee. The only way would be if it was the 3rd period and math required him to do it. Even then he would probably go neutral and try a catch and release if he was down by 3. I don't think the guy that wrestled DeSanto with one hand behind his back is going under SL.
