  1. I'd suggest the Mike Leach model is much better but of course its never going to happen.
  2. Lots of research out there but to briefly summarize part of it: QUALITY EARLY LEARNING "Key early childhood research studies demonstrated that high-quality care and education from birth through age 5 results in higher IQ scores, higher school graduation rates and lower crime rates. Young children with high-quality experiences have also been shown to have better vocabulary, language, math and social skills, more positive relationships with classmates, and higher scores on school-readiness assessments." So think if you hold your kid back at 5 so will have a better opportunity in sports.
  3. Wkn, please tell us your routine wasn't to pee in the pool before the start.
  4. PS: never eaten there but we have a Jersey Mike's in my town and I don't live in the Jerseys.
  5. Wouldn't it be more impressive if he got the 5th from Arkansas Little Rock?
  6. Now I'm really wondering if @TexRef is from Texas and if @WildTurk is really from Turkey?
  7. Well don't forget about redshirting kindergarten. This the one that really bothers me because research has shown for quite some time that starting early is very important for education/academic development. So those holding kids back a year (preschool, 1st grade ) for sport reason are hurting them academically. Maybe that's why they think they need a redshirt for academics in college.
  8. Well sure but Bob is still mad about his election loss and now he has to hang out thru eternity with all those dead folks who voted against him, his grumpiness is understandable.
  9. Maybe Carl should stop drilling with the 125lbers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  10. Well if it ain't good then it must be ...
  11. Why is it good? I mean besides the fact that some folks just disagree or like it ...

  13. Ok, you got me there, that is a very good point. He may be old and grumpy but he is still an old, grumpy conservative.
  14. For a guy who has an eternity to way the pros & cons of the edit Bob is a real stickler on this 15 minutes.
  15. Well for this discussion we should be using the 23 and younger any prob not including athletes. Athletes tend to take longer just because they can & generally someone else paying the bill. The older are folks that might have withdrawn & come back, working a part to full time job not taking a full load of classes. The 45 months shows that it can be done by majority of students. But sure, a lot of ways to look at the data.
  16. Its amazing a sheriff never drove past that curve and noticed all the buzzards.
  17. When did Penn St last have a healthy top ten 125lber? But am assuming he is "drilling" as we speak.
  18. Given the parent is on a Rocket Scientists salary I'm assuming the extra two (or more) years of tuition was "no problem."
  19. let's see the data, if a majority should be easy to find the data. Most all undergrad programs are designed to be completed in 4 years (could be a couple exceptions like Architecture). @Wrestleknownothing is now rocket scientists status and we know very good with data, maybe he can help put together some tables.
