No I'm just asking if being seeded #2 had any affect on the outcome? Its possible to understand a "policy" that says the AllStar doesn't count but yet understand why some coaches may consider such a result in their seed vote. Where the athlete finished the year before is also not supposed to be considered. Its also certainly understandable why a coach might consider a singlet grab penalty point win in a double OT match to not be too much more valuable than the opposing wrestler's loss, yet there's no specific "policy" on how they should weight such in their own mind. All said, maybe the AllStar is to blame for the New Age of Ducking.

Well sure ... you can pin your opponent or win by fall but a pinfall would require two opponents in a single match. I'm guessing the great J Hammond was referring to two different matches.

You may be correct but I'd say OSU has been up there maybe surpassed them last half dozen years, they had 3 starters injured last half of last season.

The only thing I see Cael might've done is kick him out sooner but given what we know most would've done that. Also, coaches really can't "manage" athletes like they use to. There are several recent football cases where it looks more like the athlete "managing" the head coach. NIL brings all to another level.

For any who think it would've been different elsewhere, go back and look at the crash. The CC athlete got out the passenger side, report the suv was on fire after roll over, a football coach just happened to be traveling back same road, unrelated event, stopped and pulled AJ out of the car. How many could actually pull a 220lb out? He was lucky the FB coach was there and stopped to save his life. Then he did this extra stuff to the University & the program after that coach saved his life. The younger brother has done worse things by the same age, the oldest 3 males in the family are a problem every place they've been. The youngest (3rd son) might be ok if you could separate him from the other three.
