He had a year left, that's what he lost. Should he be suspended for his last year and then be able to come back and wrestle at 25? Wouldn't be much of a punishment for a series of mistakes. Didn't go to the compliance meeting, who's fault's that. Sounds like a very important meeting to miss, and a subject that needed addressing more than once. It's a shame this happened. The NCAA has been pathetic for many years under Mark Emmert. New president is doing things different.

Cathy Lee clearly demonstrated how Hawkeye fan acts after a loss. Her son dominates for years and he gets pinned and the craziness ensues. He still hasn't recovered, which is a shame in itself.

Joined the forum on Monday and based on the replies, there's no way this will be a fair vote. Some of the responses were humorous, but some were deluded. I learned that the conjecture was all in the name of "banter," more rhetorical than any thing else. Somehow having 2 individual champions in 10 years not named Spencer Lee instead of 1 rendered the position that Tom Brands and the Hawkeyes underachieve moot. That's just total bias IMO. Hawkeye fans will run over Ban, he has no chance.

Thanks for the hilarious posts. I'm a senior citizen in Tucson and have been following wrestling since high school. I'm not an Iowa hater and, not knowing about forums, was sending emails to the intermat "contact us" because I didn't know any better. When I complained about comments being blocked on the website, Willie suggested I join the forum. Not to wreak havoc, but to share my thoughts. There's a lot of Iowa coverage when they've underachieved with the top recruits they had/have and I cited examples going back 10 years. Other stories like a Sammy Sasso update would be nice on the website, now I know to go the forum. The mailbag consistently has non-wrestling stories that are sophomoric, can't questions be found that deal with wrestling? BAN responding to my comments when they were on the website, I have no idea who cinnaban was/ is. Still not sure. I'm a fan of great wrestling and wrestlers, so of course PSU is up there. When Vito took out Fox and RBY, I marveled at his achievement. Loved watching Spencer but when Ramos pinned him, I went nuts. That's what makes wrestling so great. I stated previously that I would learn from this forum, and, thanks to the responses, I have. Some of the conjecture has been very entertaining. The pictures and Get Smart references made me laugh out loud. Look forward to reading the forum. Thanks.

How does one "obviously" explain how Flo Wrestling is so much bigger than intermat? They cover wrestling at all levels. Each brings something different to the table which makes both a good read.
