  1. You assume I favor killing people, which is not the case. It is a just punishment for heinous crimes. If Salas had been punished appropriately for his first killings, he would not have been able to commit his latest. Singapore "We prefer not to impose the death penalty on anyone, but we have to continue to do what is best for us as a matter of policy." 80% believe it deters crimes and significantly contributes to its low crime. Criminals agree.
  2. It is more than double in all cases. For context, what are 10 or 30 maternal deaths divided into 100K live births? Zero percent. There are bigger issues to care about.
  3. Singapore knows. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_in_Singapore
  4. 1986 Iowa vs Iowa State 10 individuals with a national championship during their NCAA career. Bracket '86 Place Name College 126 1 Brad Penrith Iowa 142 3 Joe Gibbons Iowa State 142 1 Kevin Dresser Iowa 150 5 Tim Krieger Iowa State 150 1 Jim Heffernan Iowa 158 5 Royce Alger Iowa 167 3 Mike Van Arsdale Iowa State 167 1 Marty Kistler Iowa 177 4 Rico Chiapparelli Iowa 190 1 Duane Goldman Iowa
  5. Clowns. Samuel Parsons-Salas killed people before and was let out of prison.
  6. It's a big fuss over two things that have statistically zero chance of occurring.
  7. Really? You stop spending emergency funds and call that deficit reduction? Clown.
  8. See attached separated_at_birth.zip
  9. Down four in the first period, Henderson tossed Clarke to his back. No pin. Was a good match.
  10. Wrestling is like chess, except the board is made of sweat and tears. Wrestling is like a game of Jenga, except the blocks are your muscles and they're getting weaker with every move. Wrestling is like a game of tug of war, except the rope is trying to choke you. Wrestling is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get, but it's usually a bad weight cut.
  11. Why let a convicted felon run for office?
  12. This should have been a funny joke. I laughed. But. Doom. Biden and Trump compare quite nicely.
  13. I could care less that presidents and vice presidents have access to classified documents or that they feel ownership of documents shared with them while they were in office. Certainly, classified documents need more security than the 'house garage.' I understand the attack angle on Trump. I'm confused why there is an attack angle on Biden from the self-party. Is it a shallow attempt to show neutrality? Is this the precursor for the D party to oust Biden?
  14. @mspart is it possible you are arguing with what you imagine Mike believes? Has Mike expressed a moral stance on the born-alive act.
  15. Mike's question" how many pregnancies does the Born Alive act address per year" is similar to my question about "how many innocent convicts will be put to death this year?" The count is non zero but statistically it is zero. Why was this bill treated as urgent? Refusing one's moral duty to save the baby disgusts me, but I have questions, and this isn't on the radar of first things first for 'we the people.' Morally worse but also rare is when the doctor physically snuffs out the born-alive baby or the mother tosses their newborn in the dumpster. While I like the intent to save an innocent baby's life, much displeases me. Not a top priority. The bill was put forth for political spin reasons. Both parties vote according to their party line rather than their personal beliefs. People are talking about the woman's right to choose abortion which is irrelevant in the born-alive situation.
  16. At 125, Lee beats Fix. At 133, Fix beats Lee.
  17. RBY has levelled up. Lee has degraded physically and is sucking air. Right now it’s RBY by decision.
  18. The last Swamp Speaker grew her net worth from $3M in 1987 to a potential max of $242M in 2018.
  19. Is anybody respectable who liked Andrew Tate before the latest news?
  20. So I was looking at https://caknowledge.com/jim-jordan-net-worth and it said $21M, but the prices for cars do not match reality, about page indicates India, and it doesn't match the formal financial disclosure forms at https://disclosures-clerk.house.gov/PublicDisclosure/FinancialDisclosure. This looks like a decent representation. https://www.opensecrets.org/personal-finances/top-net-worth
  21. I want a simple-to-access, centralized list, published on a government agency website, with annual updates.
  22. I want to know the net worth of every house member and how it has grown since their time in office. We can't have another Pelosi type. I liked what Jim Jordan said yesterday but his net worth is an unnatural $20+ million.
