  1. No, that guy was on his bicycle. Very cynical. Needs to be called more, not less.
  2. That guy Chamizo just beat has the largest noggin (and longest name) I have ever seen.
  3. I am not sure I have ever seen a match with a second period passivity after 16 first period pointd.
  4. You are saying the same thing. Only their own athletes can transfer from Cornell.
  5. Though Brooks did say that he expects to be cleared within the week. Combined with the fact that he was allowed to compete, and even discounting for potential bravado, I still have to take his analysis of the situation over yours.
  6. Shoulda challenged that. Looks like a leg foul to me.
  7. If I was a recruit I think there was a lot to like in what he said. Things like we are going to have fun, because wrestling is hard and there is no need to make it harder. Or we will have a process, a process for getting to our attacks, a process for getting off bottom, a process for riding, etc. because wrestlers can relax and trust they have been prepared for any situation. Or we are just going to score points, because scoring is fun. If I was one of the wrestlers present that he pointed to, or I was a high end recruit, I would be pretty jacked up hearing that message.
  8. It sure does when you own it. It doesn't go as far when someone else owns it.
  9. I think not. I think he will realize that won't get him a team title and instead focus on longer term solutions (recruits). Everyone has a budget, even if some are larger than others. And I can see Taylor being thoughtful about being a steward of other people's (Richison's) assets.
  10. But do you appreciate us enough to spring for one and a quarter large each?
  11. Therein lies the rub. Only one person needs to think Starocci is worth it for him to get paid. And no one thinks you and I are worth a damn.
  12. That market value thing was always an unenforceable, silly addition to the rule. Certainly the NCAA is in no position to determine, and has no expertise in determining, an athlete's market value for anything. And because it was a bunch of unenforceable hand-waving from the jump, there has been no attempt at enforcement. Lord knows the NCAA is terrified of enforcing that element because they know it puts them right back in the courtroom where they are 0 fer the past couple of years. Also note that there is no prohibition on coaches getting paid more than their market value.
  13. I would assume so. Not sure how you can live on $35k. Interesting that almost every non-revenue sport has the lowest paid asst at exactly $35,568. I guess we know what the starting salary is at anOSU
  14. I went out and found my answer. https://apps.hr.osu.edu/salaries/Home/Salaries?JobTitle=Assistant Coach&Funding=0&Year=0&IsValid=True
  15. He implied it when he said the ass wiping thing.
  16. So who's private jet were they flying on?
  17. Your assumption is not necessarily correct. He may have the largest NIL and have rejected an even larger offer elsewhere.
  18. Yeah, but An OSU would be similar, as would Michigan or Iowa, I think.
  19. What does an assistant make at a top B1G program?
