2012 the coaches came shy of a 2/3 majority vote to implement a National Dual to crown a team champ. I believe the 2 options were one tournament to decide it all or another option was a hybrid where a team's dual tournament placement would count towards the total score during the tournament in March. There are coaches that have been against or complained about every proposal but for some reason Cael takes all the blame

One of the biggest misconceptions in all of college wrestling that Cael shoulders all the blame for this. Even @Interviewed_at_Weehawkenwould have to begrudgingly agree

He absolutely did. Meant that he's helped carry that torch as a coach for AWA. He's also a big proponent of chain wrestling which compliments funk/scrambling.
