"See, they aren't even willing to do this homework assignment I've given them. Because I am convinced they are wrong but won't tell them how or why until they've done x,y,z first. Even then, I'm not likely to follow up considering my recent past doint similar things. Aren't I so cool, everyone?! Right! (high5) Right! That'll show them for having an opinion!"

Well, the one example that you know is true is a fantastically wealthy movie star. But as you said before, you will believe what you want, because its comforting, until it is proven otherwise. So tell me, since you've chosen to ignore and denigrate someone for not sharing your opinion or having contributed to the forum enough, why should anyone take you seriously considering you don't really care about things being true in the first place(see above)?
-
Because as we all know the number of times you've posted is directly proportional to your relevance and level of knowledge on a subject. You can't and dare I say shouldn't be taken seriously until you've hit 1k. So there is no need for me to engage with the likes of you. (flllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllex emoji) Did I lay it on a bit too thick as an ignorant, eliteist, gatekeeping blowhard?

Not yet. Oh, and murdering natives for land and gold is something we should hang our hat on? 13th amendment, officially. Some would say, 'states' rights' was what one side was fighting for, we still have that to some extent. Ex. Dobbs. That's gonne be an interesting case study in shooting yourself in the foot and seeing how long it takes to notice. They're still around today. Likely, many still occupy those spaces. True, time will tell. But they weren't accomplished in the first place. So when does the clock start/stop ticking if it never worked happened. India is free, btw. How'd that come about?

What are the grammar rules with regards to names? Is Shivani Dave a male name or female name, generally? Its not. Jamie, Lynn, Kelly, Taylor, Morgan, etc etc. As I imagine the host did not have intimate knowledge of the guest's equipment, I would say its rude to call something other than what they ask you to call them, regardless of what you think is 'right' or 'accurate'. Because in this case, they were wrong. Didn't want to admit it. Because grammar doesn't work with names of people places or things. Ships are often referred to having feminine qualities. Are they? Nope. So grammar doesn't apply. The host is a cruel and dehumanizing person and doesn't mind putting that on display for likeminded and similarly horrible people to rally around. Moth to flame you found it pretty quick. -
Its not a free market. We cannot be trusted to regulate ourselves. Hence why the laws had to be passed in the first place. 12hour days. Children laboring in mines and mills. Can you say with a straight face that companies wouldn’t(and in Arkansas they have relaxed child labor laws already) angle to get back to those days for the sake of profit? We work to provide for our families and loved ones. We work to protect what we’ve built and to grow it to ensure our lineage. Power and influence begets power and influence. Its not easily relinquished once given/taken. Ask any dictator in history. Power is not peacefully transferred after violently acquired. Companies do this on a regular basis. Buying smaller competitors so as to limit competition, retain market share, or maintain profit margins. https://www.everycrsreport.com/reports/RL32844.html#:~:text=The%20Commerce%20Clause%20of%20the,persons%20outside%20of%20that%20state. Congress can regulate commerce. If someone doesn’t like the law they can challenge it. But I imagine it was and survived. https://www.enzuzo.com/blog/biggest-compliance-fines A few of the many things that happen in a ‘quasi-free’ market despite laws to regulate these actions. If there were not laws to combat this behavior would it be better or worse? https://www.statista.com/statistics/224577/hsbcs-profit/ HSBC fine $1.256B for aiding Iran, Cuba, Libya, Sudan, and Burma launder money. In 2012 alone they made $15.33B in profits. Was it a big enough fine in your opinion? Also, if there weren’t laws on the books and agencies to investigate and hold them to account, would any light be shone onto their misdeeds or is protecting $15B+ in profits a large motivator to keep things covered up?

Off the top of your head. What are the different things that need to be figured out before moving from one side of a state, say California, to the other? Lets say you had a child between 2 and 5 or between 5 and 17. Lets try to list the areas of concern(this is by no means an exhaustive list): Where to move, town/city which area is best most affordable best schools, job prospects house or apartment rent or buy Rent: what do we need, what can we afford, need to fill out applications, put down deposits, pet or no pet, do we rent now, is there a penalty for leaving early, do we still need to pay out the rest of our lease Buy: where, how much, set up financing, put down an offer, offer accepted(far from a lock today), set up closing, sign paperwork, wait for however long before the sellers move out, can take months, do I own my house now, need to sell it, put it on the market, how long can we afford to wait for it to sell, Do I/we have job prospects there? Apply online, maybe interview online(if it’s a restaurant job, that might not be possible until you arrive in person, that might add some stress to the move) Do we have family that can help cover costs or offer a place to stay while we settle? School Daycare; cost, location, availability, Public school: enrollment, what paperwork needs to be filled out, can it be done online? Transfer records/grades/classes Private school: if this is an option, reach out to start the process, pay the app fee, get accepted, pay the tuition *I have a feeling your first instinct will be to poke holes into each area that a restaurant employee might(and that is going to carry a lot of weight I imagine) not typically fall within. But the point is its not as easy as you might want it to be to make your suggestion possible. * The move: Moving our stuff, by car or by truck. Can we afford a truck on a restaurant employee salary. Move furniture and appliances or sell them to raise money and save on moving cost. Will we be able to move right in to wherever we have found to live? Will we need to stay in a hotel/motel to transition to a new place? Now lets imagine its to another state. What other things might we need to consider now that the move has gone from, say 100-200 miles, to 500+, how to arrange all these things while working a fast food job and trying desperately to feed your family and better your situation. While these obstacles can be overcome. It does take quite a bit of time and energy to check all the boxes off the list before confidently making a decision so momentous for your family. This task is made that much more herculean with fewer resources to pull from. As might be the case of someone you suggested to ‘just move’ as an employee of a fast food restaurant making, up until recently, $15.50/hour. Seems as if your comment, ‘just move’ is overlooking all the things that actually go into moving. Especially if you have a family, even a small one. You’ll probably come back with, what you think is a funny quip that renders my point moot, while also not addressing the gaping holes in your idea. I know using the word ‘privilege’ sends you into a white-hot rage so I doubt you’re even reading anymore if you’ve made it this far in the first place. But that your first thought/suggestion is something so myopic and ignorant yet not at all surprising coming from you in your place of PRIVILEGE! Other issue Math: 59 stores at $15.50/hour with, let’s say 30 full time employees = $57,064,800 in yearly wages alone 68 stores at $20/hour = $99,008000, nearly double From a corporate perspective, that would be a lot of the bottom that needs to be made up by just 8 or 9 stores. By making those cuts you save $40m+ in wages alone, not to mention maintenance of 8 or 9 buildings. Maybe you lose out on 4/17s of previous year’s profit but if its as much or less than $44m, you’ve just increased your profits from having to pay people more for the same job. Execs don’t need to take a pay cut and probably get bonuses. Investors get their checks. Its win/win for everyone except for the 240-270 people that now don’t have a job. Upside, they can just move.

Roster spots: ZJ era 05 - 33 06 - 39 07 - 32 RE era 08-32 09-23 (not sure what happened here, would be interested to know) 10-23 11-28 12-27 13-29 14-29 (not as high as the highest ZJ year but lower than the average) AT era 15-25 16-27 25-27 (maybe not enough to make a guess as to a reason for these numbers, which could also be used to say there wasn't enough time to determine if things were still broken or moving in a better direction) RR era #2 18-29 (already higher than last three years) 19-35 (that seems like a jump) 20-37 (and another) 21-27 (Ivies not competing could account for this) 22-41 (wow, from 25 in '15 to 41 in '22, that's a lot of roster space for little to no results to speak of) 23-43 (and it continues to go up, nearly doubling in 8 years, and you think everything was above board this whole time?) 24-38 (maybe its leveling off because Ivies don't get an extra covid year, I guess we'll see) That's as far as it goes back on the team site. Would be interested to see the roster size in the pre-ZJ era or RR #1. Might they look similar? or were measures taken to give RR a bit more help that wouldn't be available to a mere mortal? Now being passed along to MV. Hey don't they have a relatively new AD there too. A Penn lifer like MV? Could be an interesting era to watch, if you're a fan. -

Not against that scenario, just not going to mandate it like, it seems, you'd like to. If you haven't used any one off situations then all you have are people committing illicit or illegal acts in a bathroom/changing room. On the other hand if you just have people being uncomfortable, then that's all it is. Connect the dots, trans people use the bathroom they want to 'causes harm'? What harm and to who? And should it be illegal? -

Good to get those emotions off your chest. Seems as though you want this to be a black/white, right/wrong issue. Sorry it isn't. Also sorry that you don't understand that. Care to answer any of my questions from the comment you are responding to? "Help us understand your "logic" that we should switch ALL bathrooms to unisex and have smaller isolated places for people that are the majority?? Maybe we should, as buildings are constructed, rethink the common bathroom set up and change it around so that everyone can have a place to go in private so not having to select the best, if not exactly accurate to ones characteristics. Why wouldn't the larger more frequently available bathrooms be for the vast majority of the population versus making them for the very small minority?? Again, because it is the consensus now does not make it the best, we can change and improve that which we use today to better service people in the future. Helping everyone better is in service of the majority. Shouldn't the very small minority have the smaller number and size of bathrooms?? already addressed. Is it because they would feel uncomfortable for going to the bathroom by themselves?? Already addressed. Don't they usually anyway? And again, why do you care given you said you couldn't care less who you go to the bathroom with?? I care that you are against people just going to the bathroom in place without pointing out a harm. You can make up doomsday scenarios. But person A goes to the bathroom. Person B doesn't believe they have the 'correct' junk to be allowed in that bathroom, why should anyone care of their concern if they cannot articulate a harm? Being bothered by things other people do and wanting legislation to stop it despite the absence of harm is dumb and prejudiced. Should we keep people from committing crimes? Yes. This does not fall under that umbrella until you can say for sure that it will lead to higher rates of crime. And since you are so against singling groups of people out, why single out the much larger population of people who are uncomfortable with going to the bathroom with someone of the opposite sex doesn't this seem kinda snowflaky? , or having their children go to the bathroom with someone of the opposite sex I would absolutely agree if there was anything to back up that statement?? seeing as there isn't other than one-off stories that you will trot out as reasons to roll everything back, as usual, there is no statistically significant evidence to be afraid of sending a child into a bathroom. BTW, kids are way more likely to be abused by a relative than a stranger. I know you are going to use your stupid deflection talking point, "people are already doing it and no one notices" b.s. People DO notice and HAVE noticed, and when they speak up they get called "bigot" or a "phobe" and they probably are because like I said, one incident, does not a trend make and you can't get your head around the fact that there is no statistical evidence to prove your fear to be rationally justified. That you keep using isolated incidents in an attempt to prove a point tells me you don't understand how things work. Your emotions are in control and won't let your brain sort things out in a reasonable way. of some kind by people like you that have what I call reverse logic...ie.,using statistics and empathy is illogical? I guess that's your opinion. Best of luck to you. it is not logical in anyway Definitely not any you are familiar with. If you'd like I can offer some resources. You essentially want the very small minority of the population to drive all policy and decisions not all. but some, yes. When the majority is wrong and I don't think you speak for the majority. You'll have to provide evidence of that. but if the majority of people are wrong and they have been about a great many things in our recent past, when I sited suffrage, immigration, slavery, they are all situations where the 'majority' was dead wrong and you, hopefully, know it. Although you might want to fight me on that for some reason, good luck with that. . I am all for including everyone and making opportunities and accommodations available for all, but NOT at the expense of the vast majority I know one side loves talking about being comfortable and they even have a word for it when people complain about being uncomfortable. Sucks when that stuff comes back around. . Three Or just one, types of bathrooms is a win win for everyone, and you arguing against it shows that you truly aren't for total inclusion of everyone. Who's the bigot?? Lots of people unfortunately. -
I think we've hit on the crux of the issue. Is it expected? Should it be? Why is someone a jerk that just doesn't want to participate in a forced exercise? Should they not have the freedom to abstain? Is your judgment/punishment warranted, not knowing why? Or is it enough to assume the worst and just go with it because it makes you feel better? This comes back around to the military. What can last if it is gotten by the barrel of a gun?

Two bathrooms for those with specific characteristics is outdated. Pure and simple. Its not illegal to go into the other bathroom. People have and will continue to do it. As the number of current bathroom configurations that have 'Male/Non-binary' or 'Female/Non-binary' signs on them continues to grow. It only shines a light on the fact that these are useless distinctions. Trying to pry them apart again is an exercise in futility. That you're getting a dopamine hit by banging the keys in support of 'Kindergarten Cop biology lessons' not withstanding. Its not that simple anymore and never will be. You're just going to have to get use to it. Will there be hiccups along the way? Of course. Will single(or rare) occurrence events be trotted out as a reason to roll the whole thing back? Of course, because your side is soooo predictable(see any other argument on this forum against a minority fighting to be assimilated into the whole). You're scared of the change that you think is inevitable and the dangers they might come with adopting this new trend. That's a valid feeling to have. All I'm saying is if we look into the past at each time a group was fighting to be recognized(immigrants; Italian, Irish, German, African, Asian, Latin, equal voting/civil rights) as equal members of the whole there were similar arguments against by those fearful of the change that was 'inevitable' in their mind. Did change come? Yes. I'd be interested to see if the results of any of those campaigns ever lived up to the exaggerated fever dreams of those railing against them. Can you think of any? I can't. Am I saying jump into it with both feet? No. We are making, often, painfully incremental steps to better understand and assimilate new phenomenon into our melting pot. There is always push back. But we are always better after the growing pains than during the struggle. Makes us more resilient for the next one. -

Fair. You may have mentioned a third option previously. I took it as converting all bathrooms to unisex a la alley mcbeal. My mistake. You are making it a big deal. People gatekeeping bathrooms from people that just want to go, are making it a big deal. The argument is old hat. https://vawnet.org/sc/serving-trans-and-non-binary-survivors-domestic-and-sexual-violence/violence-against-trans-and as far as 'who' is lashing out, I can't say. But they do. Trans people are harassed verbally and physically at a pretty high rate considering how small a portion of the population they are. Because we're all just going to the bathroom. I'm fine with everyone going in one bathroom because I don't have an issue with it. I don't feel the need to judge people or have ever felt unsafe in a bathroom. Some have and do. If there is a way to bridge the gap say one large unisex bathroom and smaller isolated places for people to use if they are uncomfortable. I'd be fine with that. Granted space and money will factor in. So maybe its a 'new construction only' type thing. But each time an 'icky' situation has come up in the past, we've figured it out. Not without similar push back with similar arguments, 'won't you think of the women and children!' We've made the adjustments and the world has kept spinning. I get that you can't see the inevitable conclusion of this not mattering much anymore because we're all either bored of it because it wasn't that big a deal in the first place or we've figured it out and people have moved on to the next boogeyman. But trans people or just cis people will continue to use the bathroom they want and most of the time it will happen without anyone noticing or caring about it because no one will be hurt or bothered. -

I don't think its responsible to disclose that information on a public forum. Might not be information they want to be made public. Inferences both negative and positive, but lets be honest, mostly negative could be extrapolated by that figure. Unless you have a reason you want that info out there. Does the staff or the admins know this information is getting posted? Might want to put some checks in place to keep financial aid information from getting around. -

Fair. But that's why I said 'likely'. Because there is a chance you haven't too. I was just banking on probability. But being right or pointing out where someone is 100% correct(even though that wasn't the claim) so as you can continue being a bigot is waaaay more important. Well done. -

Seeing as you hadn't suggested it till now, I wasn't sure that was something you would be in favor of. Kudos. I'm on board with that. I felt the argument was more of keep certain people out of one bathroom for 'X' reason. Not 'just let everyone go everywhere'. Kinda flipped me on that one. Didn't see that coming from many of your previous comments. I guess where I was coming from was to make as little change as possible as to not really short circuit people. Because, if bathrooms are for everyone, it might legitimately, cause concern for people that want to be in a bathroom with specific entry requirements. Also for ease of construction seeing as the infrastructure is already set up in most places for two different set ups for bathroom usage. But again, I'm on board, Unisex all around. -
