  1. I think Duke might be the weakest of these three and that's saying something because I think he's incredible. So little to pick from between these three, but Blaze and Lockett have really jumped out to me over the last few months.
  2. Wrestling aside, I've always really enjoyed Tom Ryan's thoughts. He's humble and thoughtful, which are two qualities in short supply in the modern world, imo.
  3. Just dropping in to make the low hanging NILWC joke
  4. I hate saying this because I like Alex Clemsen, but Maryland would be a great fit. He would theoretically already have recruiting connections in the area, and he could take that program to a new level.
  5. Rogotzke certainly did not dwarf Salazar, I though Salazar was clearly bigger.
  6. Billytickets, oh my god, what a throwback. I salute you.
  7. He loves that kimura defense lol. I do too, but i do it in jiu jitsu. I think it's interesting to see how close he pushes it to the boundary of illegal.
  8. I'm only 38, but I've read that "Iowa is bad for the sport" was a fairly commonly held opinion back in the day.
  9. Home run hire, imo. Glad to see him get an opportunity and hope to see UVU take a step up.
  10. This was called no takedown at the buzzer, giving Davis a win
  11. I was wondering the same thing, it seemed like a quick exchange, they could have just been facing the other way?
  12. For all the grief people give Ohio State about their bottom wrestling, Kilkeary and Bouzakis just got right out from bottom from two fantastic top wrestlers
  13. Former Miami Hurricanes football coach Al Golden is the standard bearer for this. How he isn't a bald African-American is astounding to me.
  14. I hate the narrative about Moore. He had one "bad" NCAA tournament, where he finished 4th, and one "bad" dual meet loss in his career, and other than that was a model of consistency his whole career. It's a lazy take.
  15. He also competed his senior year with what i understand was an elbow injury and a decent sized brace. Who knows if that is all wrapped up or not, but i had assumed he would redshirt, partially due to this. He's a huge talent in his own right, can't wait to see him on the college mats.
  16. He was 90% of the way there. I know that doesn't mean anything, but he was like one drink away from this.
  17. This thread (the last few pages, anyway) is one of the most reasonable discussions I have ever read on one of these forums lol
  18. It's going to be a bad weekend to be a Bud Heavy
  19. That's a good win for Shumate. A lot of people lost a lot of enthusiasm for him in the later portion of his HS career, so it's good to see him putting up promising results.
  20. I'm an Ohio State fan, but these are two of my favorite non-related programs, and I could watch them all day. Agreed with @formally140 that Henson is very impressive.
  21. The 1982 118 pound weight class had 4 future world finalists in it, Bobby Weaver, Barry Davis, Joe McFarland, and Kevin Darkus.
