  1. This isn't complicated. He was playing football and just now is coming to wrestling.
  2. Right- I was thinking it was school year ending in '82. Midlands are before NYE.
  3. Yes. He even took an Olympic RS year for that. His father was the national coach.
  4. They tied once. He did lose to Burley. IIRC- it was at Midlands in '82 while redshirting.
  5. They said that in the 90s when they added 215/220. Didn't help and made 2 weaker weight classes.
  6. On Track, yes. Not Flo. And I suspect that anyone that did the tournament on Track while bring their own server rather than relying on the cloud server option that most use would have been ok.
  7. I believe he's good friends with Stevenson!
  8. Only if by never you mean before weighins.
  9. oun. red·shirt ˈred-ˌshərt. : a college athlete who is kept out of varsity competition for a year in order to extend eligibility. Redshirt Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
  10. And to clarify something- in talking with officials, they are not making any decisions other than asking for assistance from the medical staff. Technically, if the official thinks it IS a concussion- the match is over. Also, as an aside- when I first saw the= signal being demonstrated at an officials meeting pre-season, I asked him why they chose to use the d@#$head signal!
  11. Interesting question. It's up to the school's medical staff to decide if he's ok, I guess.
  12. My favorite line in that is when Tom Ryan says he'd rather send his kid to Michigan camp!
  13. You missed my point. You clearly said everyone. If neither wrestler in a match- yes. You just went overboard in your statement.
  14. If no one ever shot- no one would ever learn how to counter- so this is a meaningless exercise.
  15. The first one does unless he had a default right before.
  16. Even actually late 60s, I believe. @pmilk was one of the first to actually wrestle as a freshman. There was some redshirting going on but I don't remember it being used that much until a few years later.
