THANK YOU! Our whole family was saying that. He DEFINITELY pulled the 5-on-2 more than once, not to mention he got shot/driven out multiple times, then took Rich out SIX times, and ended with ZERO stall calls! I mean, what are the refs even doing there?!?!?

My two cents: How could anybody fault Ayala for this? I respect him MORE for wanting to actually wrestle, and why the hell wouldn't he want to go against the great Spencer Lee? ESPECIALLY if he doesn't go with him in the room. Ayala had nothing to lose here. Lee should put the ego aside and look at it from Drake's point of view. Lee is a warrior and if the shoe was on the other foot, he'd have done the same thing.

I've only had a couple of interactions with Coach Ersland but he seems like a class individual, and I've heard nothing but great things about him as a coach. Everyone I know that visited or got recruited by them had positive things to say about them.

I think Oregon State wrestled tough despite the landslide score. Whisenhunt and Tolentino are True Freshman and Belton and Olguin each still have two years after this year I believe. Definitely need help at 275 and 197 after Harvey leaves.

I think overall Ironman is the best, especially for the upper weights. For the lower weights, I think Doc B is a bit tougher. You often see kids win Ironman or Beast of the East then come to Doc B and get worked. And Doc B not having the Prep schools since Covid hurts it. It's also hard for West Coast kids to come East. Weigh-ins are at 4:00 am PST for those kids and they're wrestling at 5:00 am their time. IMO... In Season Tournaments in order of toughness: 1) Ironman. 2) Doc B. 3) Beast of the East OR Reno TOC

I would have to agree with all of this. In my lifetime, it's Les Gutches. I did meet Robin Reed before he passed and he was super nice to my family. Go BEAVS!

CKLV is going to be AWESOME this year. Guessing we see some serious upsets and ranking changes after this one. So many good squads coming.

Willie owns Intermat and MatScouts, so I'm guessing he'll continue with Intermat being the best for college rankings and MatScouts for the HS stuff?

I feel like people saying that Yanni got dominated and therefore can't be the #1 guy since he lost 9-3 forget that Gomez lost 9-4 to Paniro Johnson. At least the guy who beat Yannis is currently considered better than the guy who beat Gomez. Like I said... I can go either way with it. I like watching both of them and Yanni is a class act.

I was disappointed in the Carr vs Monday match. I was hoping for some explosive action yet didn't see anything. Monday backed up most of the time and only took one half shot the entire time. Just waited for Carr to do something and wanted to re-attack. My other observation is that Penn State is GOOD ON TOP. Wow.

IMO I could go either way with it. Gomez beating both Yanni and Sasso should make him #1, despite the loss to Paniro. However I have no issue with Yanni staying #1 since his only loss was to Gomez. I don't know if either will lose again all year so it should come down to their quality wins for seeding.

I think it's strange that everyone seems to think so highly of Swiderski and VanNess (and I agree, they are studs), but they never mention Chance Lamer who beat each of them within the last two years.
