  1. He wont but Id like Jesse to have two more years with potentially both Blaze and davino.
  2. I think Brock man is their best option right away he looked incredible at trials however, Red shirting him and letting him grow may be ideal. Im not sure holding 149 for an entire season would be easy for him.
  3. kiyooka looks really legit when he decides to wrestle. I dont think mason will play the upper body game with Batir.. hopefully.
  4. Im not the biggest MM fan but when I think about him losing to two sophomores, albeit elite sophomores at super 32 his senior year (Sealey and Ferrari). To then beating Levi to make the junior team 8 months later and then fast forward another 14-18 months being a junior world champ teching his way through the tournament and finishing his RS year in the big 10 with a 70% bonus rate at the toughest weight in the country, its scary to imagine how good hes going to be in the coming years.
  5. I remember thinking after his V-tech match he was a different guy this year. He wrestled a true freshman but the way he just was seemingly drilling on him just felt like something really clicked for him. His mat game jumped numerous levels as well and that was apparent in that match.
  6. I just had such high expectations after the senior level success he had going into that year. I think he was up 8 on gross before getting his poistion reversed going for a gut and subsequently getting trap armed as well as having multiple wins over AA's. I just did not expect to see him lose to someone like nagao. In the grand scheme of things his TF year was very good just in my brain I thought he was going to be a title contender immediately. He also was really not very competitive with RBY or Vito.
  7. If jake paul is gatekeeping ben from the hall of fame that will be a very sad day.
  8. In an interview Jesse said he wished the match was at 65 but he was going to take it no matter the weight. I really sold my stock on him after his true freshman year but I don't know that I have seen someone get better nearly every time I see them wrestle in the way that he has.
  9. when Henckel grows into that frame, he's going to be a freak. He is already super good I don't know that he's a guy you plug in as a true freshman but after his last year of HS and a red shirt I think he's going to contend immediately at either 184 or 197. The issue he is going to have will be what happens between him/Barr/Mirasola. Mirasola is going to do whatever he wants I think he may be carters toughest match at 197 this year if PK does not go up but Henckel Barr in two years' time will be super interesting.
  10. I think PJ went up for this too, he was ranked 1 at 138 before this match happened at 150 I believe.
  11. The question was posed as the best wrestler of all time at each weight. Dake beat DT 3 times in a single season at 165 which I would rate over anyone else I considered putting Imar but chose to value you those wins in over 4 finals but 2 losses to cenzo. If MM goes on to win 3 and make a final with his only loss being to Carr in a tournament where he out placed KOT I will be content saying he was better at 165.
  12. not for a career but at 165 given Dake was only there for one season.
  13. Trumble is incredible at exposing guys in Free and while he is similarly funky in folk I think in instances where he gets points in free and then can bail sometimes he hangs on too long in folk and gives up unnecessary points. I have not watched him enough to know this for sure but from the glimpses Ive seen in folk that seems to be an issue. Free also generally tends to cause more wrestling exchanges where as in folk you can wrestle a tighter match and he seems like the type of guy that does bet the more exchanges he's in.
  14. Ben has given so much back to the sport on top of his accolades I think he has to be the next guy.
  15. Because of Dukes judo style that translates so much to his wrestling he's a really hard guy to comp to anyone. I love that he has a multitude of ways to score. I think its easier to prop up Dee and blaze because of their wins but I can't discount duke for lack of opportunity which I feel like I do subconsciously. I do think blazes offense has progressed quite a bit over the last year now that his knee issues are sorted out and I expect that to continue. The stat that always floors me is that he wrestles D1 in ohio and has gone to three iron mans without giving up a takedown during his entire high school in season career. The talent of the 2025 and 2026 classes is just something we may not seen replicated for a very long time you have these 3 and then Ross,Bassett forrest for 2026 as well as the Rayney brothers who I would drop a tier but are still incredible. If you told me any of those 6 guys were going to start a collegiate season tomorrow I would probably bet on all of them to be 4x AA's.
