Cornell claimed its 15th straight Ivy League title ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell wrestling ran out to a 18-0 halftime advantage and cruised to its 15th straight Ivy League title and a 21-12 victory over Princeton on Saturday afternoon at the Friedman Wrestling Center. The Big Red upped its record to 12-2 (5-0 Ivy) with its 78th consecutive victory over a conference opponent. The win clinched the Big Red's 38th league championship and extended the longest streak by any Ivy League team in any sport. The dual began at 157 and essentially ended at 197, as Cornell punctuated the halftime edge with a late third period takedown of 10th-ranked Brett Harner by Ben Honis for a 7-6 upset victory. That sent the match into the break with the home team essentially claiming the match. It didn't actually clinch the win until after adding a sudden victory win by Noah Baughman at 125 and limiting the Tigers to three wins by their ranked wrestlers, all coming by decision. Seniors Brian Realbuto and Gabe Dean, less than half an hour after being celebrated on Senior Day, each earned bonus points to extend the early lead. Realbuto and Jonathan Schleifer had a high-scoring affair at 174, with the two-time All-American capturing a 23-13 major decision victory. Dean, meanwhile, spent much of the match looking for a pin instead of piling up points, but eventually took out Ian Baker by technical fall, 21-5. The top-ranked wrestler at 184 pounds extended his match win streak to 35 and improved to 26-0 on the year with the victory. Senior Taylor Simaz and sophomore Brandon Womack each took home victories to send the Big Red in the right direction, starting the dual with 8-5 and 5-0 wins. PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Sophomore Ian Butterbrodt tallied a pin, classmate Jon Viruet won via technical fall, and Brown University wrestling defeated Sacred Heart University, 29-13, in an EIWA dual on Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Sports Center. In their home finale on Senior Day, the Bears (7-7, 4-5 EIWA) won six straight bouts from 157 to 285 lbs. to overcome a 13-6 deficit against the visiting Pioneers (2-11, 0-6 EIWA). Butterbrodt (North Andover, Mass.) notched his fourth fall of the season while Viruet (Springfield, Mass.) tallied his team-best 25th win on the year. Senior Steven Galiardo (Chicago, Ill.) juniors Andrew LaBrie (Exeter, R.I.) and Josh Durso-Finley (Lawrenceville, N.J.), and sophomore CJ LaFragola (Little Egg Harbor, N.J.) all took wins via decision. Junior Michael Russo (Jersey City, N.J.) won via forfeit at 125 lbs. Prior to the dual, the Bears honored the five members of their Class of 2017 - Galiardo, William McDonald (Carson City, Nev.), Richard Muniz (Corona, Calif.), Galloway Thurston (St. Ignace, Mich.), and Jack Twomey-Kozak (Hillsborough, N.C.) - for their dedication to the program. Galiardo started a run of six straight wins and brought Brown back within 13-9 in the team score with a 4-2 win over Casey Mitchell at 157 lbs. Galiardo posted a takedown in the first period and added an escape and a point for riding time in the victory. Viruet pushed the Bears ahead in the team score, 14-13, with a 23-4 technical fall win in two periods against Matt Fisher at 165 lbs. Viruet gained a 12-3 lead after the first period behind four takedowns and a 4-point near fall. He finished the match in the second period with two 4-point near falls. LaBrie extended the hosts edge in the team score to 17-13 with a 14-7 win over Dom Celli at 174 lbs. LaBrie went ahead 8-3 after the first period and remained ahead 10-5 through two frames en route to the triumph. LaFragola kept the advantage with the Bears, pushing Brown ahead 20-13 in the team score with a 5-3 win over Elliott Antler at 184 lbs. LaFragola tallied two takedowns in the opening period and tacked on an escape in the second stanza. Durso-Finley secured the team win for Brown, notching a 5-2 win over Mark Boyle at 197 lbs. to make the score 23-13. Durso-Finley scored a takedown in the first, an escape in the second, and a takedown late in the third. Butterbrodt ended the dual with a fall in 5:50 over John Hartnett at 285 lbs., scoring the pin with 1:10 left in the third period. BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Campbell wrestling's winning streak improved to five after a 27-16 Southern Conference win over SIU-Edwardsville Saturday inside Carter Gym. The Camels (9-6, 5-1) took bonus points in five of their seven wins, which included a pair of tech falls, two major decisions, and forfeit victory en route to their fifth SoCon win. The two sides swapped leads in the opening two matches, as Freddie Rodriquez put the visitors ahead 4-0 after the opening match. Jonathan Ryan's forfeit victory at 133 gave Campbell a 6-4 lead, one it didn't relinquish. Joshua Heil built upon Campbell's lead with his 6-3 decision at the 141-pound contest over Trevor Feagans. Heil tallied a pair of takedowns and solidified his lead with a reversal in the third period. SIUE came to within two, 9-7, after John Fahy took a 5-2 decision over Ben Barton at 149. Austin Kraisser earned four points for Campbell with his 18-5 major decision win over Karsten Van Velsor at the 157-pound match. Kraisser opened with a pair of takedowns in the first and added three more in the final two periods to cap off the win. Quentin Perez scored 11 points in the third period to pick up a convincing 17-2 win over Clayton Bass, which extended Campbell's lead to double digits, 18-7. SIUE pulled to within seven, 18-11, after Jake Reisidori's major decision win over John Weiss, 13-1, at the 174-pound matchup. Ville Heino picked up Campbell's second tech fall win of the day with his 20-4 result against Jake Godinez at the 184-pound matchup. Heino picked up three takedowns and a pair of near falls in the first to take a 10-point lead after the opening period. He finished the match with an escape and two-point takedown, along with riding time, for the win. Jake Tindle picked up five points for SIUE with his tech fall over Willie Bivens III pull SIUE within seven, 23-16, with one match left. Jere Heino closed out the day with an 18-5 major decision win over Jake McKiernan in the 285-pound matchup. J. Heino tallied six takedowns and a four-point near fall en route to the 13-point victory. NEW YORK -- Penn opened a pair of duals on Saturday with a furious rally, defeating Binghamton, 21-15, on the strength of three consecutive wins to close the dual. Faced with a 15-9 deficit and just three matches remaining, Penn secured decision victories at 149 and 157 pounds to set the stage for Brooks Martino at 165. A fifth-year senior with time winding down on his career, Martino dialed up a big moment with a pin to win the dual, sticking Jake Einbinder at 4:56 to give the Red and Blue the victory. The Red and Blue were bolstered by bonus points as the two teams each won five bouts. No. 13 Casey Kent started the dual with a 17-0 technical fall at 174, and No. 17 Frank Mattiace would notch a major decision at 197 via a 12-3 win over Mark Tracy. Those wins kept the Red and Blue in range as Binghamton won four straight bouts from heavyweight to 141 and took a 15-9 lead. Joe Oliva would start the rally with a 9-4 decision at 149 over Parker Kropman, scoring a late takedown to break open a two-point match. May Bethea needed overtime to secure a 9-7 decision over Tristan Rifanburg, finishing on the winning takedown with just 0:05 left in sudden victory. It marks the final Big Ten dual meet of the season for both teams. The dual meet can be seen live on the Big Ten Network. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from losses on Friday night. The Illini (8-3) fell to Penn State 34-7, while the Hoosiers (9-8) lost 32-7 to Iowa. Below are five matchups to watch in the dual meet. 125: Travis Piotrowski (Illinois) vs. Elijah Oliver (Indiana) Oliver was a seeded (No. 16) wrestler at last season's NCAAs. He wound up going 1-2 in New York. Oliver started this season ranked, but fell out of the rankings early in the season and after taking an unexpected loss at the Navy Classic. He was pinned by top-ranked Thomas Gilman of Iowa on Friday night, and has gone 3-4 over his last seven matches. Piotrowski has done a nice job competing in the Big Ten as a true freshman. He has picked up some quality wins this season. At the Midlands Piotrowski took out sixth-seeded L.J. Bentley of Pitt. He also notched a win in a dual meet over Ohio State's Jose Rodriguez, who reached the finals of the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. Piotrowski will look to get back on track after dropping his last three matches. 157: No. 12 Kyle Langenderfer (Illinois) vs. Jake Danishek (Indiana) Langenderfer started his season by winning 12 of his first 13 matches. He failed to place at the Midlands, going 2-2, and then dropped his first match after the Midlands to Rutgers' John Van Brill. However, he has been red-hot since then. He reeled off eight consecutive victories, including two over wrestlers ranked in the top 10. His winning streak came to a halt on Friday night against top-ranked Jason Nolf of Penn State. Danishek, an Ohio native, has put together a solid sophomore campaign. He enters the match with a record of 18-10. 165: No. 1 Isaiah Martinez (Illinois) vs. Bryce Martin (Indiana) The two-time returning NCAA champion Martinez improved to 22-0 on Friday night with a 5-2 victory over No. 4 Vincenzo Joseph of Penn State. He has earned bonus points in 18 of his 22 victories this season. All four non-bonus point victories have come against wrestlers ranked in the top six. Martin, a sophomore from California, has been wrestling well of late. On Friday night he lost narrowly in tiebreaker to No. 17 Joey Gunther of Iowa. Prior to that match he had won eight of 10 matches. Martin comes into the match with a record of 15-6. 174: No. 12 Zac Brunson (Illinois) vs. Devin Skatzka (Indiana) Brunson, a three-time NCAA qualifier, will be looking for the 100th victory of his college wrestling career. His bid for win No. 100 was halted on Friday night by Penn State's Mark Hall. Brunson placed third at the Midlands in December, and comes into the match with record of 24-6 and No. 12 ranking. Skatzka, a four-time Michigan state champion, placed fifth at the Midlands. He had won four of his last five matches entering Friday night before losing to Iowa's Alex Meyer 11-4. He's currently 22-8 on the season. 184: No. 12 Emery Parker (Illinois) vs. No. 7 Nate Jackson (Indiana) This is the lone matchup in the dual meet pitting ranked wrestlers against each other. Like Brunson, Jackson will be looking to win the 100th match of his career on Sunday. The Indiana senior has climbed to No. 7 in the rankings and has a 26-2 record, with both losses this season coming at the Midlands. He extended his winning streak to seven with a major decision over Iowa's Mitch Bowman on Friday night. Parker has 23 wins this season, which is tied with Brunson for the most wins on the team. He has wins this season over No. 13 Nicholas Gravina of Rutgers and No. 16 Jordan Ellingwood of Central Michigan. Parker had a six-match winning streak going into Friday's dual meet against Penn State before being pinned by No. 2 Bo Nickal.

STILLWATER -- The top-ranked Oklahoma State wrestling team stretched its undefeated mark to 13-0 Friday evening at Gallagher-Iba Arena as they dropped Big 12 foe Wyoming, 32-3. The Cowboys (13-0, 5-0 Big 12) tallied wins in nine of 10 matches, getting bonus points from Kaid Brock at 133, Nolan Boyd at 184 and Preston Weigel at 197. "It was a good match," head coach John Smith said. "I liked the turns, but didn't like the scoreless first periods. You know, I think we had three of them in a little bit of the tougher matches. In the end, I had mixed feelings. The scoreboard looks good but there are some things that we need to continue to improve on. And a lot of it is just wrestling in positions, trying to wrestle in all positions. We kind of chose at some of those weight classes to wrestle only in a few positions, so that's where we need to go." Nick Piccininni started things off for the Pokes at 125 pounds, defeating Wyoming's Doyle Trout, 8-2. The redshirt freshman led throughout the match as he racked up three takedowns on his way to the decision, but couldn't convert the final score to push him into bonus points. The win moved Piccininni to 17-6 on the season and 10-3 in dual appearances. Brock asserted his will over Wyoming's Gunnar Woodburn at 133 pounds. The Cowboy redshirt freshman led, 4-1, after one, and added a pair of takedowns in the second to lead, 8-3, after two. Starting the final frame on bottom, Brock scored a reversal, and after releasing Woodburn and being awarded a point off the stall warning, the Cowboy finished off the match with a final takedown for the 14-5 major decision. In the marquee bout of the night, defending 141-pound NCAA Champion Dean Heil grappled with eighth-ranked Bryce Meredith in a rematch of the 2016 national title match. Following a scoreless first period, the pair traded blows in the second. After Meredith got on the board with an escape from starting in the down position, Heil struck first with a takedown that was followed by a reversal from Meredith. Heil escaped to tie the match at three after two periods, and added another three points out of the gate in the third with an escape and takedown. Meredith scored a reversal, but it would be too late as Heil escaped with the 7-5 decision. "He's wrestled me differently every time we've wrestled, which is kind of hard because I like to feel out my wrestler before I start scoring points," Heil said. "It was scoreless after the first, which I don't really like, but I got the takedown in the second and third, which helped open up the scores. I'll take it. I'm scoring offensively which I like." Senior Anthony Collica handled Wyoming's Cole Mendenhall in a 7-2 decision. With the win, Collica moved to 16-1 on the season and 11-1 in dual matches. Wyoming got its lone win of the night at 157 pounds as 19th-ranked Archie Colgan edged OSU's Davey Dolan, 3-1, in sudden victory. Tied at one at the end of regulation, Dolan made his attack and nearly pinned Colgan with 15 seconds left in the overtime period. Colgan however, came out of the scramble with a takedown in the final second of the match. The Cowboys wrapped up the dual with wins in the final five matches to close out Wyoming, including a pair of technical falls from Nolan Boyd and Preston Weigel. Redshirt sophomore Chandler Rogers picked up his fifth ranked win of the season with a 10-6 decision over 16th-ranked Branson Ashworth. Rogers did most of his scoring in the first half of the match, leading 10-1 before Ashworth scored a reversal in the second period. Ashworth scored a quick three points to open the third period, but that would be it, as Rogers finished off his 16th win of the season. Senior Kyle Crutchmer won his fourth straight, defeating Wyoming's Kyle Pope, 12-5. Crutchmer scored five takedowns on the way to his 14th win of the season, falling just short of a major decision. Boyd tallied the first of two tech falls for the Cowboys, using three takedowns, three nearfalls and a reversal to drop Lucas Lovvorn, 19-4 in 4:15. The Cowboy senior has won seven straight, with four technical falls during that stretch. Weigel made an impressive return after sitting out the Pokes' last three duals. The redshirt sophomore tallied a quick, first-period technical fall in just under a minute and a half as he dropped Wyoming's Luke Paine for a takedown and followed with four nearfalls to lock up the 16-0 tech. "Yeah, coming back from a week off, we have to keep training hard and keep everything up," Weigel said. "I kept working out hard. I didn't slack and didn't let my body get dull. You have to keep training." Heavyweight Tanner Allen won his second-straight match, handling Brandon Tribble, 5-4. Allen scored a pair of takedowns in the win to move to 2-1 in his dual career. USAF ACADEMY, Colo. -- North Dakota State University won seven matches including five of the first six to defeat host Air Force 23-10 in a Big 12 Conference dual on Friday, Feb. 10, at the Air Force Academy. NDSU (13-4, 3-2 #Big12WR) is scheduled to wrestle at Wyoming (6-7, 3-2 #Big12WR) at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in Laramie. The Bison won three of the four matches decided by one point. Probably the most important came at 184 pounds where Tyler McNutt recorded a rare 1-0 win over the Falcons' Zen Ikehara. That extended NDSU's lead to 20-7. Following a scoreless first period, McNutt recorded an escape with 50-seconds left, but Ikehara gained 1-minute, 10-seconds of riding time. McNutt was bullish in the third, erased the riding time and kept the top position for the entire period. He improved to 11-11 overall and 8-9 in duals The other two Bison close encounters came at 149 pounds as NDSU's Kyle Gliva built a 5-1 lead but had to hold off Gerald McGinty for a 6-5 decision, and then 285 where Dan Stibral held off Air Force's Parker Hines for a 9-8 win. Gliva improved to 10-4 and 3-2, while Stibral is 8-6 and 2-0. North Dakota State started fast with a pair of major decisions from No. 4-ranked 125 pound senior Josh Rodriguez, 14-3 over Drew Romero, and 133 pound redshirt freshman Cam Sykora, who beat Dylan Hyder 15-2. Rodriguez improved to 19-1 overall and 16-1 in duals, while Sykora stands 12-2 and 10-0. Air Force (5-6, 0-4 #Big12WR) cut the deficit to 8-4 with John Twomey's 11-0 major decision over Taylor Nein. It was the last bonus point decision by either team. Wins from No. 7-ranked 157 pounder Clay Ream and 165 Andrew Fogarty extended the North Dakota State lead to 17-4. Ream rallied from a first period deficit and won 9-3 over Alex Mossing, while Fogarty had nearly five minutes of riding time in a 6-2 decision over Tyler Wiederholt. LINCOLN, Neb. -- In a battle of Big Ten heavyweights, No. 4 Ohio State won seven of 10 bouts -- including four over top-10 ranked opponents -- to come away with a 24-13 victory over No. 6 Nebraska on Friday evening at the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Neb. The Buckeyes improved to 10-2 overall and 6-2 in the Big Ten while Nebraska is now 12-2, 6-2. BO ALSO GETS BONUS POINTS After a pair of Nebraska wins at 157 and 165 pounds, respectively, gave the Huskers a 9-4 lead in the dual, B. Jordan (10-0) shifted the fortunes back in favor of the Scarlet and Gray when he turned up the heat in the third period to rack up an 11-1 major decision. Jordan led 6-0 entering the final two minutes but secured two takedowns and the riding time bonus point. He's won nine of his 10 matches this year via bonus points. Prior that that, Martin built his lead on the strength of two takedowns and an escape over the first five minutes of action. The win was Martin's fourth over a ranked opponent but first inside of the top 10. Studebaker was working for the winning points in the final seconds but was called out of bounds at the edge of the mat. Moore converted the only takedown of the match midway through the second period. Snyder (9-0) scored five third-period takedown against No. 14 Collin Jensen and won by major decision at heavyweight, giving Ohio State an 18-9 lead heading into the final three bouts. Snyder scored three times in the first period, but was ridden out in the second period. He began the third period on his feet and put together a takedown clinic, rolling to the ninth bonus point win in as many matches this year. TOMASELLO CLINCHES THE DUAL In one of the feature bouts of the night, Tomasello (14-0) took out fifth-ranked Eric Montoya at 133 pounds with a 5-2 decision that was clinched with a takedown at the 1:00 mark of the third period off a single leg attack. He then rode Montoya out for the remainder of the period to lock up the riding time bonus point. PLETCHER GETS WIN NO. 22 True freshman Luke Pletcher closed out the dual with a 4-1 decision at 141 pounds over 10th-ranked Colton McCrystal which improved his record this year to 22-4. It's the highest-ranked foe that Pletcher has beaten and puts a high mark on his season that has already seen wins over the nation's No. 14 and 15-ranked opponents in conference action. MATCH NOTES Ohio State won in Lincoln for the first time in program history. Coming into the night, Nebraska led the all-time series 8-3 with all of the Buckeyes' wins coming either in Columbus or at neutral sites. Coupled with last year's 21-17 win, Ohio State has two straight victories in the series. Top-10 ranked Buckeye wrestlers own 16 wins this year over top-10 ranked opponents. Only three of Snyder's nine matches this season has lasted the entire seven minute length of regulation. Captains Snyder, Tomasello and Jordan have a combined record of 33-0. OREM, Utah -- Falls by Joey McKenna and Peter Galli, and a major decision by Paul Fox led No. 17 Stanford to a 34-3 rout of Utah Valley, Friday in Lockhart Arena. Stanford (9-3, 4-1 Pac-12) won nine of the 10 bouts against the Wolverines (5-5, 2-2 Big 12), scoring bonus points in three of the matches. Redshirt freshman Austin Flores opened the dual with a 9-3 decision over Will Sumner at 184 pounds. Flores scored a takedown late in the first period and tallied four near fall points before time expired. He tacked on an escape and another takedown in the second for his first dual win of the season. Flores is now 4-3 overall. Redshirt senior Josh Marchok increased the Stanford lead to 6-0 as he held off Tanner Orndorff, 6-5, at 197 pounds. Ranked 18th nationally, Marchok led 2-1 after the opening period. He added an escape in the second for a 3-1 advantage. Orndorff chose down to start the third and quickly escaped to cut it to 3-2. He then converted a takedown to momentarily take the lead over Marchok. After an escape tied it at 4-4, Marchok finished a takedown and then held on for the win. He improves to 12-6 overall and 8-4 in duals this season. Heavyweight Nathan Butler, ranked 12th nationally, earned his 20th win of the season with a 6-0 shutout over Dustin Dennison. He tallied takedowns in the first and third periods, an escape in the second and tacked on the riding point to move to 8-4 in duals this season. True freshman Gabriel Townsell pushed the team score to 12-0 with an 11-5 decision over Mitch Brown. Townsell, who is ranked 16th at 125 pounds, racked up five takedowns in the win, while only yielding escapes to Brown. Townsell is now 15-7 overall and 7-1 in duals this season. Redshirt junior Connor Schram turned in a 5-2 decision over Jarod Maynes at 133 pounds for the Cardinal. Leading 2-1 after the first, No. 15 Schram added an escape and another takedown in the second for his 13th win of the season. Schram improves to 7-2 in duals this season. McKenna, a sophomore ranked third nationally, pushed the team score to 21-0 with a pin in 2:51 of Trevor Willson at 141 pounds. McKenna leads Stanford with nine falls on the season as he moves to 25-1 overall and 10 in duals. Fox earned a hard-fought 13-4 major decision over Raider Lofthouse at 157 pounds to score bonus points for Stanford. Fox totaled five takedowns in the win and is 8-0 in major decisions this season. He improves to 22-12 overall . Nineteenth-ranked Keaton Subjeck added to the Stanford lead with a 13-7 decision over freshman Koy Wilkinson at 165 pounds. He held a 5-4 edge after the opening period. Wilkinson tied it up with an escape to start the second. Subjeck added two more takedowns in the period to lead 9-6 after two. An escape, another takedown and riding time was added in the final frame for Subjeck, who moves to 18-6 overall and 9-2 in duals this season. Galli ended the dual with a fall in 4:35 over Kimball Bastian at 174 pounds. Ranked 17th, Galli held a 1-0 lead in the second period before being taken down by Bastian. He recorded a reversal and then turned Bastian to his back before securing his sixth fall of the season. A redshirt senior, Galli is now 22-5 overall and 9-1 in duals this season. Utah Valley scored its only points at 149 pounds as redshirt freshman Grant LaMont posted a 6-3 decision over Tommy Pawelski. PITTSBURGH -- The 24th-ranked Pitt wrestling team returned to the win column Friday night after rolling past Iowa State, 22-15, in the Fitzgerald Field House. The Panthers took six of ten bouts from the Cyclones. Redshirt freshman Taleb Rahmani pinned his eighth opponent of the season, while sophomore TeShan Campbell also picked up a win with bonus points after posting a major decision over his Iowa State opponent. "Our guys needed [this win] and they are still pulling together,” said co-head coach Drew Headlee. “Our guys are very talented and work hard, so when you can come out with this victory it means a lot." Forys got this started for the Panthers at 133 pounds, getting revenge over Earl Hall who knocked Forys out of the NCAA Tournament a year ago in the round of 12. The junior used two takedowns, an escape and a stall warning point to capture a 6-2 decision. Moving to 141 pounds, redshirt junior Nick Zanetta gave the Panthers a 6-0 lead after a 9-4 decision over John Meeks. Zanetta led 1-0 after the opening frame and pulled away in the second after an escape, takedown and four point nearfall. The Pittsburgh native scored just once more in the third with an escape to pick up the win. Iowa State tied the dual 6-6 after Gabe Moreno pinned senior Mikey Racciato at 149 pounds in 1:25. Rahmani earned his eighth fall of the season after he pinned Colston DiBlasi in 5:24, giving Pitt a 12-6 boost in the dual. "Anytime you can get that momentum back it's huge,” Headlee said. “Taleb is always an exciting guy to watch and we knew that going into this match, so when he comes out with the pin, it means a lot to the team.”s Campbell followed that with a 15-5 major decision over Logan Breitenbach after recording three two-point nearfalls, three takedowns, two escapes and tacked on one final point with riding time. Campbell's bonus point win extended Pitt's lead to 16-6. Redshirt sophomore Zach Bruce and redshirt junior Ryan Solomon added two more wins for the Panthers at 184 pounds and 285 pounds, respectively. Bruce used a takedown and reversal en route to a 4-0 decision, while Solomon won in a 3-2 decision. It was the second week in a row unranked Jacob Holschlag knocked off the 18th-ranked wrestler in the nation at 197 pounds. Holschlag beat No. 18 James Benjamin in a 4-2 decision. Last week, he beat then-ranked No. 18 Brad Johnson of Oklahoma. At 125 pounds, Dylan Peters returned to the mat for the first time since Jan. 8. He notched five takedowns to win by 19-3 tech fall in 4 minutes, 54 seconds. Josh Alber's eight-match win streak came to end when he was edged out by No. 15 Bryan Lantry in his first MAC dual loss at 133 pounds. At 149 pounds. No. 9 Max Thomsen drove up riding time to 3:34 to start the third period. He added another 34 seconds in the third to go on to win 6-0 with 4:08 in riding time. COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Shayne Oster earned a first period pin, and Anthony Rubinetti and Johnny Sebastian secured major decisions, as Northwestern defeated Maryland 23-16 Friday evening on Senior Night at the Xfinity Pavilion. Oster needed just 1:45 to put the Terrapins' Ryan Diehl's shoulders on the mat, in a match where he had already posted several takedowns. Rubinetti got the night started on the right note with a 14-2 victory over Michael Beck, while Sebastian dominated Patrick Gerish on his way to a 16-4 decision. At 184lbs., Mitch Sliga's opponent was saved by the bell, as only time running out prevented the Wildcats junior from a major decision and he had to settle for a 10-3 win over Idris White. Alec McKenna and Jacob Berkowitz both also earned decisive victories for Northwestern on the night. Northwestern is now 2-0 all-time against Maryland. BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- No. 11 Lehigh claimed the first four bouts, and seven overall and posted technical falls in three of its first four wins, building an early 18-0 advantage before defeating Army West Point 28-10 Friday on Senior Night inside Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. All four Lehigh seniors who wrestled won, with captains Laike Gardner and Mitch Minotti posting bonus wins to pace the Mountain Hawks, who snapped a three-dual losing streak and improved to 9-4 overall on the dual season and 7-1 against EIWA opponents. "Everyone fought hard and we got back to what we had been talking about, which is getting bonus points," Lehigh head coach Pat Santoro said. "Whenever you have a week off like we did last weekend, you don't know how they're going to respond but we responded pretty well." Junior Darian Cruz started Lehigh's run of early wins with a 22-7 technical fall win over Trey Chalifoux at 125. Cruz scored nine points in each of the first two periods, scoring two takedowns plus a four point near fall and an escape in each, and bounced back after yielding a takedown of his own in the first period. Two third-period takedowns secured the technical fall at 6:24. At 133, sophomore Scott Parker made his first appearance since the Southern Scuffle and picked up where he left off in a 21-6 technical fall over Austin Harry. Leading 2-0 after one period, Parker opened up over the final two periods, using a four point near fall late to end the match at 6:50 and give Lehigh an early 10-0 advantage. "You could see as the match went he started getting more comfortable and started to open up more," Santoro said of Parker. "It was 2-0 after the first period and then he really opened it up as the match went on. When you're just getting back like that part of it is getting your feelers back and he got better as the match went on." The featured bout of the dual matched ranked seniors Randy Cruz and Logan Everett at 141. Cruz scored a first period takedown and then utilized a strong ride over the first and second period to build a 3:50 riding time advantage. Everett chose neutral in the third but could only muster a penalty point for a technical violation as Cruz prevailed 3-1. Cruz is now 3-1 all-time versus Everett. "We needed that against a tough opponent," Santoro said. "The style matchups were similar in a lot of ways. Going out there and finding ways to win that match was important for Randy." Gardner capped the four-match run with a 19-1 technical fall over Nick Noel in 4:59. He scored two takedowns and a four point near fall in the first period and added an escape and a takedown plus a pair of four-pointers in the second to close out the match. Army West Point (6-4, 4-2 EIWA) notched its first win at 157 as 16th-ranked Russ Parsons posted a 15-2 major decision over sophomore Cortlandt Schuyler, who bumped up from 149 in place of freshman Jordan Kutler. The Black Knights' first win left Lehigh in front 18-4 at intermission. Minotti sparked Lehigh out of the break with his most impressive performance in a dual so far this season, in a 12-3 major decision over Cael McCormick at 165. Leading 2-1 after one period, Minotti reversed to open the second and added two more takedowns, while tacking on one more takedown in the third, plus 3:43 of riding time advantage. Sophomore Ryan Preisch made it six wins in seven bouts for Lehigh with a 3-1 win over Ben Harvey at 174. Harvey had some solid early opportunities but it was Preisch who scored the lone takedown of the bout late in the first period off a scramble. The wrestlers traded escapes in the final two periods and while Preisch stayed on the offensive, many of his shots over the final two periods resulted in scrambles and then stalemates. Trailing 25-4 after seven bouts, the Black Knights came back with back-to-back victories. At 184 Jack Wedholm held off freshman Andrew Price 7-4, while at 197 a coaches challenge resulted in the decisive takedown with 12 seconds remaining as Rocco Caywood edged sophomore Thomas Murray. Heavyweight Doug Vollaro made it 4-for-4 in terms of wins from the Lehigh seniors on Senior Night, scoring a takedown in each period to defeat Trevor Smith 8-3. "They did a nice job on senior night," Santoro said of the four seniors. "They just kept moving forward. They did what they've been doing their whole careers, getting a little better each week. I'm happy for them. Next week it looks like we'll have a match we just have to be ready for that." Lehigh now leads the all-time series with Army 53-9-3. Friday's dual was the first between the two longtime rivals since 2009 after the teams previously met in 59 straight seasons from 1946-47 through 2004-06. The Mountain Hawks are expected to host a Big Ten team next weekend in the NWCA National Dual Championship Series. BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- A Joey Ward pin and major decisions by James Szymanski and Danny Chaid lifted North Carolina to a 23-15 win over Gardner-Webb Friday night at Paul Porter Arena. The Tar Heels closed out their regular season slate in winning fashion thanks to victories in six of 10 weight classes. Szymanski opened the dual with an 8-0 major over Landon LoAlbo at 125 pounds. The win was Szymanski's first major of the year and snapped a five-match losing streak for the Shoreham, New York, sophomore. After Philip Anderson topped Nicholas Lirette at 133, seventh-ranked Ward put an exclamation point on his regular season with a first-period pin of Dallas Roemer. Ward struck quickly in the opening stanza and put Roemer on his back just 2:03 into the bout to push the Carolina lead to 10-3 in the dual. The Cincinnati, Ohio, All-American is now 23-4 on the year with nine bonus-point wins. Troy Heilmann won his fourth straight bout at 149 with a 10-4 decision over Joby Armenta. YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Central Michigan wrestling team won nine of 10 matches for the second consecutive Mid-American Conference dual meet on Friday in defeating Eastern Michigan, 29-3, at the Eagles' Bowen Field House. It was CMU's fifth consecutive dual victory as it improved to 8-2 overall, 5-2 MAC. The Chippewas entertain Kent State (2-13, 0-6) in their home and MAC-dual finale on Sunday (2 p.m.) at McGuirk Arena. The Chippewas trounced Buffalo, 35-3, last Sunday, also winning nine of 10 matches. CMU wasn't as dominant against the Eagles as it was against Buffalo, but it was plenty good enough as it won two overtime matches and three others that were decided by three points or less. "Again we were trying to score points for the most part the whole time," CMU coach Tom Borrelli said. "Eastern slowed us down and made some of the matches close. I thought we were pretty aggressive. "I'm happy with where we are. They're improving and I think they know we can continue going forward." CMU got major decision victories from Corey Keener (133 pounds) and Justin Oliver (149), and overtime wins from Colin Heffernan (157) and Newton Smerchek (HWT). Three other matches were decided by one point, two of which were won by CMU's Mason Smith (141) and Austin Severn (197). Smerchek, a junior, opened the meet with a 4-3 tie-breaker-2 win over Gage Hutchison, who came into the meet 23-10 and ranked 19th in the NCAA coaches rankings. Smerchek got an escape in the second tie-breaker and then rode out the match. "He's been gaining a lot of confidence the last few weeks," Borrelli said of Smerchek, who has won four consecutive matches, that last two of which have come against solid opponents in overtime. "He's been very, very good at staying focused on the things that he can do and executing. It's not pretty, but he figures out how to win." Heffernan took down Zachary Carson in overtime for a 3-1 SV-1 win. Heffernan leads the Chippewas in victories, 24, along with Oliver and CJ Brucki. Smith, a redshirt freshman, scored a third-period escape for a 1-0 win over junior Kyle Springer, who is ranked 31st in the coaches poll. "Very big win for Mason," Borrelli said. "(Springer's) had a good year. Mason's starting to wrestle better in the positions he really good in." Oliver scored a 10-1 victory and Keener posted a 12-6 win. DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Looking to snap a five-match losing skid, the VMI wrestling team earned its first Southern Conference win of the year with a dominating 32-10 performance on the road at Davidson College Friday night at Belk Arena in Davidson, North Carolina. The match started at the 165-pound weight class as VMI's Cade Kiely struck first with a 6-2 decision over Noah Satterfield for a 3-0 Keydet lead. At 174, Shabaka Johns extended the VMI (2-11, 1-5) advantage to 7-0 following a commanding 10-1 major decision over Davidson's Conor Fenn, a second consecutive dual win for Johns. Davidson (4-12, 0-5 SoCon) got on the board at 184 with a Konner Pritchard 8-1 decision over VMI's Chris Beck to put the score at 7-3 for the Keydets. At 197 pounds, VMI junior Taylor Thomas picked up an 8-0 major decision over Michael Moore before Davidson heavyweight Will Cooley responded with a major decision of his own over VMI's Thomas Shea-Roop, making the score 11-7 for VMI at the midpoint. The Keydets kicked into gear in the second half of the match, starting with six free points as Dalton Henderson won by forfeit for a 17-7 VMI lead. After Davidson's Dustin Runzo earned a hard-fought 5-3 sudden victory two decision over Michael Hulcher at 133 pounds, the Keydets broke away with two straight pins by John Reed and Stevan Smith at 141 and 149, respectively, for a 29-10 advantage. CLARION, Pa. -- The Clarion wrestling team overcame the challenges of a patchwork lineup to claim their second Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) win of the season, defeating Bloomsburg 27-13 at Tippin Gymnasium on Friday evening. The Golden Eagles (5-9, 2-3 EWL) will close out their conference slate on Sunday when they wrestle at Cleveland State. Clarion was without the services of essentially four starters on Friday but battled their way past the Huskies, winning six of the nine bouts contested and picking up another win via forfeit. Scott Marmoll clinched the match with a win at 184 pounds, putting the score at 21-9 with two more to go. With the six points from a forfeit at 197 pounds in their pocket, the Golden Eagles were assured of a win at that point. The sole bonus point win of the night came from Evan DeLong, who recorded his first win by fall since Jan. 8 with a pin of John Barber. Delong built a healthy 10-3 advantage through two periods thanks to four takedowns and a reversal, but the key moment came when he started the third period in the top position. DeLong maneuvered Barber to his back and pinned him just 13 seconds into the stanza. The reigning EWL Wrestler of the Week Jake Gromacki got things started at 125 pounds, working over Willy Girard in the first period to set himself up for victory. Gromacki got a quick early takedown and turned Girard over for a four-point near fall, giving himself a 6-0 cushion. He rode that advantage all the way to the finish line, and despite allowing Girard the riding time point came out with a 6-3 win. Roshaun Cooley followed that up with an impressive win of his own at 133 pounds. He started the third period in the down position and escaped to take a 3-2 lead, and then brought down Matt Noble late in the period for a 5-2 decision. Jake Keller won his second straight match in a protracted defensive effort against Nate Newberry, taking the decision at 149 pounds. Keller started the third period in the down spot and quickly reversed Newberry to break a scoreless tie, and then racked up riding time throughout the end of the period for a 4-0 decision. Also claiming wins by decision were Dom Rigous, who defeated Trevor Allard by a 4-0 score, and Scott Marmoll, who won 6-0 over Kyle Murphy. Once again, Princeton will wrestle Cornell on the final day of the league season in a winner-take-all showdown for Ivy League championship. You can't ask for much more than that. Princeton took control of its Friday night showdown at Columbia early, winning each of the first five matches en route to a convincing 32-6 win over the Lions. A technical fall for senior Jordan Laster, combined with four decisions, opened a 17-0 lead for the Tigers, and back-to-back first-period pins by Ian Baker and Troy Murtha secured the victory for Princeton. That win, combined with a 27-10 win by Cornell over Penn, leaves both teams at 4-0 in the league entering Saturday's 3 pm match, which will be shown live on the Ivy League Digital Network. Following wins by Ty Agaisse and Patrick D'Arcy to open the match, freshman Matthew Kolodzik posted his 21st win of the season to open a 9-0 lead. Laster was dominant in a 20-4 technical fall at 149, and sophomore Mike D'Angelo continued his perfect Ivy League season with a 7-0 win at 157. Leonard Merkin nearly pulled off an upset over one of Columbia's top veterans, but a late escape by Tyrel White gave him an 8-7 win. Carlin Powell made sure that momentum would be short-lived, as he posted a 6-3 win at 174, and then Baker and Merkin ended all drama with quick falls. Merkin recorded his second pin in as many Ivy League matches when he defeated Michael Bulkin in 25 seconds. Now Princeton turns its full attention to Cornell, which owns the longest Ivy League championship streak (14 years) of any team in any sport in league history. Cornell has won 77 consecutive duals against Ivy League opponents, 75 in a row against unranked opponents, and 30 consecutive against Princeton. Head coach Cael Sanderson's squad won eight of ten bouts against the Illini to roll to a 34-7 victory and remain perfect on the year. Penn State's young line-up excelled in front of a sold out Rec Hall crowd. The crowd of 6,645, the largest in Rec Hall this year, marks the 34th straight Rec Hall sell-out. Penn State has sold out 37 of its last 39 home events, including three of five in the 16,000-seat Bryce Jordan Center. The dual began at 125 where true freshman Nick Suriano (Paramus, N.J.), ranked No. 2 nationally, opened up action with a dominant 17-6 major over Travis Piotrowski. The Lion senior continued to shoot, as Jodeh backed off and worked to hang on Gulibon's shoulders. Jodeh's defense kept Gulibon at arm's length and the bout moved to the second period tied 0-0. Gulibon chose down to start the second period and quickly escaped to a 1-0 lead. The Lion senior broke through with a strong high double to open up a 3-0 lead with 1:25 on the clock. He then went to work on top, building up a riding time advantage while looking for a chance to turn the Illini for back points. Gulibon rode Jodeh out and led 3-0 with 1:15 in time after two periods. Jodeh chose down to start the third period and Gulibon made him pay. The Lion senior worked arm control into a tilt for two nearfall points and a 5-0 lead. He spent the rest of the period working a strong ride, forcing Barone to fight off turns, moving to the second period leading 4-0 with 1:54 in riding time. He cut Brunson loose to a 2-1 score and continued to work the middle of the mat. Hall tried to throw Brunson and the Illini countered the move, notching a takedown that the Penn State bench challenged. The call was reversed and action resumed with Hall leading the Illini senior 2-1. Leading 2-1, Hall chose down to start the second period and quickly escaped to a 3-1 lead. Hall countered a low Brunson shot for his second takedown and a 5-1 lead with 1:21 on the clock. He then turned Brunson for four back points to up his lead to 9-1 with :40 on the clock. Hall reset himself and broke Brunson down to finish the period on top, leading 9-1 with 1:33 in riding time. Brunson chose neutral to start the third period and Hall quickly took him down to up his lead to 11-1. The duo battled evenly on their feet for over two minutes before Nickal opened up a 2-1 lead on a takedown and cut. The Lion sophomore lifted Parker off the mat for a second takedown and a 4-2 lead after the Illini escaped with :40 on the clock. Nickal then walked his way out of trouble on a Parker high double. He stepped back and finished on top with a counter takedown to lead 6-2 after one period. Parker chose down to start the second period and escaped to a 6-3 score. The Lion sophomore countered a low Parker shot for a fourth takedown to up his lead to 8-3. Nickal built his riding time edge up to 1:38 before Parker escaped to an 8-4 score. Leading 8-4 with 1:38 in riding time, Nickal chose down to start the final period and quickly escaped to a 9-5 lead. Nickal fought off a solid Parker shot to keep his lead at 9-4. He then pulled Parker to the mat, dove through a low double and led 11-4 after the nice combo. Parker escaped to an 11-5 score with :50 left to wrestle and Nickal began moving in for bonus points. The Lion sophomore blew through a final takedown, finished with four nearfall points to post the 18-5 major with 1:52 in riding time. 197: Junior Matt McCutcheon (Apollo, Pa.), ranked No. 9 at 197, battled sophomore Andre Lee. The duo battled evenly for the first two minutes with neither wrestler finding an opening to move through. The final minute was spent with hand fighting in the middle of the mat and action moved to the second period tied 0-0. McCutcheon chose down to start the second period and quickly escaped to a 1-0 lead. Like the first period, the duo worked high for the next minute-plus and McCutcheon connected on a low single at the :20 mark. Lee fought off the move for the final seconds of the period, however, and McCutcheon held a slim 1-0 lead after two periods. Lee chose down to start the third period and quickly escaped to a 1-1 tie. McCutcheon worked his way in on another high single and worked his way to a takedown at the :50 mark to lead 3-1. McCutcheon maintained control of the Illini for the rest of the period, finishing on top to post the 3-1 win. 285: Sophomore Nick Nevills (Clovis, Calif.), ranked No. 3 at 285, met junior Brooks Black, ranked No. 15. Nevills worked for shoulder control early, keeping Black on his feet on the Nittany Lion logo as the opening period hit its midway point. The duo continued neutral action for the remainder of the period, spending the opening three minutes on the Lion logo. Tied 0-0, Black chose down to start the second stanza. Nevills quickly broke the Illini down, working his riding time edge up while trying to turn the Illini. Black got called for a first stall and Nevills continued to work to turn him. Nevills took a 1-0 lead on a second Black stall. He turned black briefly but did not get the two-count and led 1-0 with 2:00 in riding time after two periods. Nevills chose down to start the third period and steadily worked his way to his feet, finishing off the escape at the 1:32 mark to open up a 2-0 lead. Nevills worked his way in on a low single, Black tried to step away, but Nevills finished off the move by diving in for the takedown and a 4-0 lead.

NORFOLK, Va. -- Back-to-back major decisions from Jack Dechow and Kevin Beazley helped lift the Old Dominion wrestling team (6-9, 2-5 MAC) past Ohio (7-6, 4-4 MAC), 19-18, on the third criteria for most individual match points (68-67), Friday evening at the Ted Constant Center before 366 fans. Beginning at 125 lbs., Ohio's 19th-ranked Shakur Laney majored Steven Simpson, 11-2, before No. 14 Cameron Kelly earned a 16-1 tech. fall over Alex Madrigal at 133 to give the Bobcats an early 9-0 lead. Noah Forrider widened the gap over Kevin Budock at 141, as the Bobcat broke open an 8-7 match to defeat the freshman Monarch, 14-7, at 141. At 149, fifth-year senior Michael Hayes put together a 12-1 major decision over Kyle Kaminski, mounting a 6-1 lead after the first period, to cut the Bobcat lead to 12-4. Larry Early then won his first career match in the Ted Constant Center with a 7-3 decision over Cullen Cummings at 157, as the redshirt freshman transfer from Minnesota scored three takedowns including two in the last period. In what proved to be a pivotal bout at 165, ODU sophomore Seldon Wright rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie his bout against Austin Reese, 2-2, in the final 20 seconds to force sudden victory overtime. In the overtime period, Wright rifled off several shots and connected on a takedown with 15 seconds left to defeat Reese, 4-2 OT, in dramatic fashion. The win cut the Ohio lead to 12-10. At 174, Ohio's Arsen Ashughyan broke open a 5-5 tie in the third period with a late takedown and two nearfall points to defeat Antonio Agee, 9-5. Because each team had won an even five bouts and no falls or other six-point victories were secured by either team, the dual meet came down to criteria three: most individual match points scored. LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Jordan Gessner and D.J. Hollingshead recorded pins, and Tyler Smith and Tom Sleigh notched wins by tech fall and major decision to propel the Bucknell wrestling team to a 33-7 victory over Binghamton Friday evening at Davis Gym. It was the eighth consecutive win for the Bison, who improved to 10-4, 7-1 EIWA. The Bearcats lost for just the second time in their last eight matches as they fell to 8-5, 8-3 EIWA. Bucknell won at eight of the 10 weight classes with four victories for bonus points and three bouts that ended in shutout. Gessner got the match started on a high note for the Bison at 125 pounds. After trailing 6-2 to end the first period, the freshman came back to pin Steven Bulzomi 30 seconds into the final period. Gessner trailed 6-3 at the time of the pin, his fourth of the year. Hollingshead also recorded his fourth fall of the season, downing Anthony DePrez in 1:50 at 174 pounds to give the Bison a 26-4 edge and clinching the outcome of the match. Hollingshead led 2-0 at the time of the pin. Joey Gould followed Gessner's win with a 6-2 decision at 133 pounds. The Bison freshman built a 5-0 lead on his way to the victory. Smith followed with a dominating 18-3 tech fall victory at 141 pounds. He totaled four takedowns and an escape in the final period as he won for the 14th time in his last 15 bouts. Lopez, who was honored prior to the match for posting his 100th career victory last week, posted Bucknell's first shutout of the night at 157, defeating Tristan Rifanburg 7-0. Logan Kerin followed with a 4-0 shutout at 165 pounds. Sleigh's10-0 major decision at 197 – his 17th consecutive win – and an 8-5 victory by Tyler Greene at 285 helped Bucknell conclude the match with a season-high-tying 33 points. In each of the Bison's last four wins, the opponent has remained in single digits. Bucknell has won those four matches by a combined 126-26 score. WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- In a dual that promised exciting toss-up matches, the Wisconsin wrestling team delivered just that as the Badgers muscled their way to a 22-12 victory over Purdue on Friday evening in the Holloway Gymnasium. The No. 18 Badgers (4-5 overall, 2-5 Big Ten) tallied six wins against a tough Purdue (8-7, 3-6 Big Ten) team that refused to go down without a fight. Senior TJ Ruschell earned the Badgers' first bonus-point win with a 16-0 tech fall of Mario Leveille. The 157-pounder got things going in the second period and asserted his dominance throughout to pick up another impressive Big Ten victory. Second-ranked Connor Medbery set the pace against heavyweight Tyler Kral early and stayed true-to-form to record the 18-3 tech fall. 149-pounder Andrew Crone pulled off a 5-4 decision over Nate Limmex in thrilling fashion. After Crone gained a 5-1 lead in the third period, Limmex recorded a reversal as time wound down to make things interesting. Despite the crowd's excitement for a possible comeback, Crone maintained control to get his hand raised. In a feisty 184-pound matchup, Hunter Ritter got on the board quickly against Tanner Lynde to set the pace and two second-period takedowns brought the score to 6-4. To start the third period, a quick takedown by Lynde looked to quell Ritter's momentum, but Ritter regained his composure to walk away with the 12-7 decision. 125-pounder Johnny Jimenez put Wisconsin on the board first by earning a 4-1 decision over Ben Thornton. In true Isaac Jordan-fashion, third-ranked Jordan remained calm throughout to pick up an 8-3 decision over 165-pounder Dylan Lydy. 133-pounder Eli Stickley entered the third period up 5-2 against Luke Welch but a ruling reversal cut Stickley's lead to 5-4 with just two seconds remaining. After riding time sent the match into overtime, Welch relied on his momentum to pull off the 7-5 SV-1 decision. In the 141-pound bout, Cole Martin started strong but a big second period by Cody Pae gave the Boilermakers the 6-0 decision. Eleventh-ranked Ricky Robertson recorded one escape but couldn't get on the offensive against 197-pounder Christian Brunner, while Ryan Christensen (157) dropped a tough 4-0 match to Jacob Morrissey. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Sophomore Jon Viruet posted a fall at 165 lbs., freshman Trey Keeley won via technical fall at 125 lbs., and Brown University wrestling defeated Harvard University, 23-12, in an EIWA and Ivy League dual meet at the Malkin Athletic Center on Friday night. The Bears (6-7, 3-5 EIWA, 2-3 Ivy) won four of the match's last five bouts to top the host Crimson (2-8, 2-6 EIWA, 1-4 Ivy). With victories over Harvard and Penn this season, Brown won two Ivy duals for the first time since the 2011-12 season. Viruet (Springfield, Mass.) notched his fourth pin and team-high 24th win on the season while Keeley (Washington, Ill.) claimed his team-best third technical fall of the year. Senior Steven Galiardo (Chicago, Ill.), junior Josh Durso-Finley (Lawrenceville, N.J.), and sophomores CJ LaFragola (Little Egg Harbor, N.J.) and Ian Butterbrodt (North Andover, Mass.) all won bouts via decision. Keeley opened the dual with a 19-3 technical fall win over Connor Sakmar at 125 lbs., giving the Bears a 5-0 edge in the team score. Keeley tallied six points in the first period and 10 points in the second period before closing the bout with a takedown in the third period. Galiardo brought the Bears within 9-8 in the team score with an 8-3 victory over Colby Knight at 157 lbs. With the two wrestlers tied at 2-2 entering the third period, Galiardo posted an escape, two takedowns, and a riding time point in the final stanza to gain separation. Viruet pushed Brown back ahead in the team score, 14-9, posting a pin in 4:34 against Rico Stormer at 165 lbs. After notching several takedowns, Viruet closed the bout with a fall with 26 seconds left in the second period. After Harvard pulled within 14-12, LaFragola pushed the visitors' edge to 17-12 with a 4-1 win over Kanon Dean at 184 lbs. LaFragola's win started a streak of three straight wins for the Bears. Durso-Finley followed with a 7-6 win over Logan Kirby at 197 lbs., putting the dual out of reach for Harvard at 20-12. Durso-Finley earned an escape late in the match to take the win. Butterbrodt earned a 6-0 shutout win over Nick Gajdzik at 285 lbs., accumulating 4:33 of riding time en route to the triumph. CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Oregon State wrestling team improved to 3-1 in the Pacific-12 Conference on Friday with a 25-10 victory over Cal Poly before a Gill Coliseum crowd of 597. The Beavers (5-7, 3-1) won 7 of 10 matches and earned four bonus points with four major decisions in dispatching the Mustangs (6-9, 0-4) in workmanlike fashion. OSU is now 3-1 in its last four duals after a 2-6 start. Major decisions by Kegan Calkins (125), Joey Palmer(133), Jack Hathaway (141) and Abe Rodriguez (157) and a decision by Joey Delgado (149) gave the Beavers a 19-0 lead at the midway point. The Mustangs won three in a row to close to within 19-11 but Corey Griego (197) and Cody Crawford (hwt.) then posted dominating decisions to close it out. "We started out great," OSU coach Jim Zalesky said. "We weren't as sharp as we could have been, we had a pretty hard week of training and some guys were a little lethargic, maybe their legs weren't underneath them. "But this time of year you need the training as well as the competition. We pushed through it and it was a good thing to get a win." The Beavers conclude the home portion of their schedule at 7 p.m. Sunday against CSU Bakersfield in their annual Senior Night dual. It will be televised by the Pac-12 Network; graduating seniors Ali Alshujery, Joey Delgado and Joey Palmer will be honored. "I hope to see improvement," Zalesky said. "Guys who got beat today need to turn things around and guys who won today need to keep things going the way we want to keep things going."
