Upset of the tournament? I think that "step out" wasn't a step out. It was one of those "the video didn't provide conclusive evidence" instances. From the other angles, which were admittedly not good ones, it looked like part of Kyle's foot was inbounds. Can you imagine the noise if Iranians were allowed their vozuvala (sp?) horns?

Trumble is a beast. His problem is that Kyle Snyder is still only 15 years old. By the way, Vicky Vicky is not only a girl's name, but the same girl's name twice. I am happy that the organizers must have had a rule against those loud vozuvala (sp?) horns. Now, the Iranian fans are cheering for the Iranian in English. They don't know what to do! Isaac is your Bronze medalist 8-5.

Good match, but Schultz loses 7-8. Really hoped that Eric had worn him out earlier in the first period. Question for our rules/strategy folks: If you are an American and really suck at gut wrenches and leg laces, and you're chasing a lead, why not just stand up right away after a takedown? Get a quick restart. At least just sit there and look up at the ref immediately, no?

That arm drag slide by with the foot tripping underneath looks like the new "it" international takedown. Saw a lot of it yesterday, and now in the finals at 79 kg. Brit announcer says Eric Schultz is from ILLINOIS but was originally from Nebraska. That was backwards. However, I think Schultz does keep his hometown in the state. Nate Jackson is also an ILLINOIS high school state champion.

Thanks to @nhs67 for the American play-by-play commentary. I watched Isaac Trumble beat Luuuke Luffman in the Midlands finals 2-1 less than two weeks ago, and he's wrestling for Bronze here. Pretty wild ride for him. As for Gable, he won Olympic Gold. We want to see him wrestle Freestyle again, but it'd be too big a risk. Did any American women wrestle today? I see 72 kg had a pool of two wrestlers? I didn't see any Americans in the women's results. Time for Finals.

We'll see. Aman Aman is the real deal, though, and I don't see any other American beating him right now. Maybe, David Taylor. Zane is best when he goes back to ground and works out a plan with his team. Plus, he's now got a Croatia/Zagreb Open ranking series tournament Gold Medalist to work with in the room. He's really smart, and he'll come up with the best way to reach his goals.

Here's how we get back at the Pan Am Games for giving us an Australian wrestling commentator and the UWW for providing an Englishman: We send over somebody from Tennessee to announce the 2024 Cricket World Cup. Another thing, how do Penn State fans feel about Jason Nolf (not my favorite wrestler) being number two in the United States at 74 kg behind Kyle Dake, who also wrestles for the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club, but never wrestled for PSU?

Aman Aman with a first period tech in the Finals. Zane made it to the second period, so there. Seriously, the world is going to have to scout his step over from the seatbelt position. You're not supposed to do that! But he scored with it all tournament. Also, his forward pressure. Might have to time that.

Bekhbayar Erdenebat, repping the IRTC and Mongolia, has Rzazade of Azerbaijan. Up 1-0 at the break on a shot clock. Rzazade was Euro Gold last year and beat Zane at the World Championships. Wow! Erdenebat threw the Azeri to his back and stuck him! Great for the ILLINOIS Regional Training Center, but that pushes Michael McGee out the tournament.
