  1. Perry Public Schools in Perry Oklahoma has an opening for a Head Wrestling Coach. Perry is 30 minutes north of Stillwater, home of Oklahoma State University. Perry has a very strong tradition in wrestling. We hold a national record of 20 dual State Titles and 43 State Championships. This position will come attached to an open Teaching Position. Candidates will be responsible for all aspects of the program from 7 – 12 and will also have the opportunity to work with our youth program. Candidates should have a strong background in folkstyle and freestyle wrestling. Previous Head Coaching experience preferred. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to bring in several assistants. The High School will return 12 starters, 5 State qualifiers and a State runner-up. Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA) are seeking girls residential life staff or classroom teaching positions and will also serve as an assistant coach for the boys & girls wrestling teams, with a particular focus on developing our girls team. Resident life positions are responsible for providing supervision of the dorm residents while they are not in school and on weekends, while maintaining a positive living and learning environment. They are looking for coaches for each of the schools. The district will have teaching positions available for anyone who is in the teaching profession. There are also a lot of great businesses throughout Bowling Green for anyone looking to find a non-teaching job but still wanting to coach. Wrestling started in Warren County Public Schools in the 2020-2021 season, so it is a newer program, but has already had some success having multiple state qualifier's for both boys and girls. We are looking for a coach who will teach at our middle school and make an impact in the building on a daily basis and in our school athletics program. Recruit adequate numbers of student athletes with sufficient skill to be as competitive as possible within the guidelines set by the relevant athletic conference(s) and the policies and procedures of the university. Assess academic performance of student athletes at least once each semester to ensure the ongoing eligibility of athletes and monitor their academic progress; academic retention of student athletes must at minimum mirror the retention rate of the college. Provide general advising, mentoring and support to student-athletes. Demonstrate concern for the overall welfare of student athletes at all times. Ensure all documentation and paperwork is completed in a timely fashion. Represent the College in a professional and ethical manner, modeling outstanding sportsmanship, consistent with SUNY Cortland mission, vision and campus priorities. Execute all of these responsibilities as assistant coach in a manner that reflects an ongoing commitment to the excellence, integrity and success of the sports program; the department and the university.
