The Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee is now accepting applications for an Assistant Wrestling Coach with a role in Sports Performance.
Position Purpose: To assist in the Baylor School Wrestling Program. The Assistant Wrestling Coach will be responsible for maintaining a positive team environment, assisting in daily training responsibilities, and fostering the personal and athletic growth of each wrestler. This is a full-time position that requires attendance to regularly scheduled coaching meetings and significant travel to wrestling competitions. This position reports to the Head Coach of Baylor School wrestling.
Essential Functions:
· Assist and help implement a comprehensive training program for high school and club wrestlers.
· Assist in wrestling events throughout the year including clinics, camps, etc.
· Collaborate with the Head Coach and Associate Head Coach on seasonal plans that align with the competitive strategy of all student-athletes including season planning, daily practices, and competition.
· Assist the Director of Sports Performance with strength and conditioning training for student-athletes throughout the academic day.
· Engage in continuous professional development as a coach and mentor.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required.
· Collegiate wrestling experience required.
· Possess a high work ethic, positive attitude, and professionalism.
· Candidates must complete a Baylor Pre-employment Background Check prior to employment.
