Cael’s really good at sacrificing something in the weeks prior to the NCAA tourney to have his guys at their best when it matters most. He’s the best at it. His dad was the same way as a coach. My point was at B1G last year Brooks was really the only guy that did worse there than at NCAA’s. I guess you could argue Kerk, but they also had Berge get 3rd from the 10 seed. You could certainly argue Hildebrandt, who had gotten 4th the year before, “faltered” at NCAA’s by scoring half a point. They had 3.5 points total between 125, 149, 157, and 165.
