It seems like the Wyoming Cowboys have just spiraled into an abyss. They have taken some huge losses to teams like  Air Force, North Dakota and South Dakota! What's going on in Laramie?

That's a good question.... they had a good thing going there for awhile and all the sudden this year the wheels are coming off.

I am an Oregon State guy, so I might not be the best guy to ask, even though they are my next door neighbors.

Losing Samuelson and Buchanan in the portal hurts.  No chance to recruit and build their replacements.

Buchanan followed Teyon Ware to Oklahoma. Not sure on Samuelson.

Lou has really been taking advantage of the transfer portal. It would be nice to see OU back in the top 10.

Yes... remove Penn State and Iowa and replace them with Wyoming and Oklahoma.

I always wonder if somebody who uses the portal that heavily is trying to mask deeper issues within the program (inability to recruit, retain, or develop).

I understand your point as we have seen that happen. I have heard that Lou is a no bull shit kind of guy. That might be where Heflin comes in, to be nicer and give em that warm fuzzy feeling. They did recently lose Lightner, so there might be some issues.
