PortaJohn
I know a kid from The Shire, Pennsylvania. He won PIAA that year with a wizard in the finals. What was most fascinating is how he neutralized his opponent in the 1st period with an Elf's Bow & Arrow. 2 I Don't Agree With What I Posted

Reminds me of a kid in the Kansas state championship match who won by a single point but much to the oohs & oz of the crowd, he spent the entire 3rd period on top witching the bottom kid's ankle. Eagle26
Yes, I saw Gable Stevenson, Reece Humphries, and Logan Steiber all do this at states. Carl Sanderson saw it too and tried to recruit them.
jackwebster
Not a malapropism but... Anybody stop using "tripod" (e.g. re standup) and opt for "quadpod" bc the former doesn't accurately describe the position? I tried "baby standup" for a minute but found it didn't roll off the tongue. Edit: one time on Jeopardy, Dan Gable introduced answes about wrestling. One was a a video of Zadick(?) hitting a double a the prompt was something like"With his technique, wrestler A grabs wrestler B by both legs." The correct question was "What is a double leg tackle?" Gable's big book of wrestling call leg attacks "tackles," and I always thought it sounded strange. The whole program uses it now and I feel like I hear other people use it too. It definitely rolls off the tongue nicely… even rhymes so it’s easy to remember. Just start using it and you won’t regret it

I’m kicking myself because I waited to install it and after I taught they were hitting it in matches the next day and our Percentage on bottom went up
