Man, Minnesota is down bad right now.  None of the starters are currently championship level. Do they have any big guns in redshirt?

Tagen Jamison is their best redshirt I think.  He seems like a high potential type.  Troy Spratley is off redshirt, but stuck behind McKee.  Bennett Tabor and Hunter Lyden haven't wrestled this year I don't think.

Gophers have three legit shots at AA right now, and Brayton Lee and Jake Bergeland aren’t any of them. It’s McKee, Nagao, and Salazar. Minnesota is a team made up of a bunch of guys that could place anywhere from 7th to going 2-2. Solid wrestlers, solid dual team, but no contenders.

Some of our young guys and recruits coming in give me hope for the future though.

poorwrestler, for next season, what do you think about something like this:
125: Spratley
133: McKee
141: Nagao
149: Jamison
157: Lee
165: Sparks
174: Krattinger / Lyden
184: Salazar
197: Joles / Nelson
285: Tabor

I wouldn’t mind this lineup at all, and I think it’s possibly our best dual lineup, but Vance Vombaur will likely be a factor at 141 or 149 (he started a couple times this year, and one was a convincing win over Clay Carlson of SDSU).

I also think McKee will try his damndest to stay at 125 and capitalize on a weight class finally vacated by Spencer Lee, and Nagao is too small for 141 as of now.

I think Spratley rides the bench one more year. Drew Roberts could factor in at 149 as well.

Need a transfer at 174, badly.

Lots of injuries to the true fr. and redshirt fr.  Lyden, Tabor, and Jamison haven't wrestled at all this year, and doesn't look like they will.

I think Sparks slides up to 174 and Carlson in at 165 next year.  Lyden could challenge either guy if he can stay healthy.

I like some combination of Vombaur, Jamison, and Roberts at 141 and 149, if Blockhus doesn't use his 6th year.
