NCAA settlement

Recommended Posts

It looks like Universities are about to owe a lot of money to current/past athletes in Basketball and Football.

There is speculation that this will trigger the P4 conferences will further separate from the rest of D1.  I don't see how they can maintain the 14 sport requirement with so much revenue going back to the athletes.

The settlement terms state the NCAA will provide more than $2.7 billion to former athletes over the next decade for back damages related to the association's name, image and likeness restrictions, according to sources.

I don't think $2.7B is enough.  I want my back damaged.  🤨
