he wrestled smart and held on through the final flurry.

Agreed. He had points to give and he gave them. I thought he looked very comfortable even after the four. He didn't seem bothered a bit. He gave the TD at the end and knew he wasn't getting turned...

If you've never felt Lee what kind of chance do you really have?

He has to be so insanely strong.

Yes, all signs indicate that Spencer Lee is extremely strong. His top game and gut wrench is one indication.  Another sign is that he can do one-arm pull ups without the aid of the other arm supporting the active arm.  I once challenged fellow wrestlers in a wrestling room to do this and no one could.

Yeah, those are insanely difficult. I can do 15-20 perfect form, full ROM pullups, but can't even budge a one arm pullup. Some top climbers seem to do them with ease. Having low body weight and really high grip and pulling strength are necessary.

What's more - the gents in R1 of the other Repechage wrestled a dogfight, so every one of those type of matches for potential opponents ahead of him the better.

BTW - The Portly Johnson of Jamaica is still alive at 125 KG, gents.

He is up against Usbekistan on Mat B right now.

Then 57 KG next.

Then Zain.

Johnson loses 11-0 (10-0 and a failed challenge).

The guy gave it everything this tournament.  He was outclassed in his two losses, but I was happy seeing him go.

Zhou of China (CHI) up against Egorov of Macedonia (MKD) then we get Zain.

Next one for Zain is the "bronze medal" match, albeit a big one in going up against India's Sujeet.

Gotta get past him for a shot for true third and Paris.

2 down... 2 more to go.

Yep... I have to agree.

Zain looks swole, indeed.

(He's practically one of, if not the swole-est guy in the bracket!)

That's swell... uh, that's he swole, yes? 😏

But let us not dwell, that he's swole and it's swell.

Zain has two more to go AND the next one IS important.

On we go.
