Are all the Pro-Palestine, anti Israel protests helping or hurting the Democrats?

So what aspect of national security is at risk with AJ operating from Israel?

I don’t know.  I would suggest that an Israeli leader should not give details on this either.  What they do or do not know regarding activity of AJ employees is intelligence itself.  They don’t need to, not should they justify it.

That said, I recognize that this is opaque.  However, neither you nor I deserve info on this.   I served, I dealt with classified info.  Intelligence can be gleaned from startling ways.  One way to avoid, be silent.

That is true. Life was hard before the unions protested for workers rights and 40 hour work week. Life for African Americans was pretty hard before many people started protesting for the civil rights movement. Same with people protesting for same sex marriage, interracial marriage, women’s rights, but i get your point besides those few examples. protesting apparently never leads to change

You think all that happened because of protests. That’s cute

Ok which ones did not happen because people protested in favor of it? What was the cause of the change happening then?

Big supporter of the patriot act i see

Were you alive on Sept 11, 2001?  Did you experience it?  What were the odds of another similar or mass terrorism driven casualty event to follow in the next 10 years?  I thought damn high at the time.

Didn’t happen.  How was this was prevented?  Intel.

A government must protect it’s people.

That said, I’m not expert on the ins and outs and gov’t power may be being abused.  I don’t know.  So I support pressure from people like yourself to drive oversight and accountability.

I have to run to something, but could you explain what you mean here?

well I should say that I mean racist, not in the sense that it should disqualify them public discourse, but I do mean it in the literal sense, you could say something like "racialist" to take some of the teeth out of the expression but thats getting counterproductive.

To me the cohesion of the conversation hinged on the idea that 1) Jews are a race, which i don't believe, 2) races can and should be analyzed so general trends can noticed and situations like the war in Gaza can be diagnosed. If they had been examining the behavior of a group united by a common ideology, that would make sense to me, but they bounced back and forth between religious, secular, social ...etc. Jews as if grouping them together made sense in any meaningful way.

I was alive and experienced it. The patriot act signed away many of our freedoms that we will never get back. The whole FBI switched to counter terrorism from organized crime when 9/11 happened so that’s a big reason as well that it never happened again. The patriot act does not protect us any more than banning free press protects citizens. You are one of the first people on the right that I’ve seen actually defend the unconstitutional patriot act lol

I remember having to take off my shoes at the airport for the rest of time  bc one time a guy tried to bring a bomb with his shoe. The TSA is all performance theatre anyway

This reply makes you sound like a spoiled child.  Oh no, you need to take your shoes off.  Can you picture the situation where people are afraid to fly?  How impactful that would be?  You sound like someone that has never led a large organization and had to make hard decisions.  Shoes were proven to be an article of clothing that needed closer inspection.  So people made the hard decision to do so.  Oh no!

I could appreciate your points on the Patriot act but now I realize I was being generous.  Instead you are a professional whiner.

If only, I was a worker why didn't I get a 40 hour work week?  Just think what I could've done in all that spare time.

It’s more of a point that doing one little thing to make people feel better doesn’t do anything because it’s not an actual risk. How many attacks a year does the TSA identify or stop?

You do. Your full time work week is 40 hours and thankfully to union protests in the past you get overtime for over 40 hours worked good job!

How often has the presence of police prevented a crime?  Give me a number.  If you can’t … well … I guess that means we should eliminate police.

How many invasions did National militaries prevent.

comical.

How can you say it is not an actual risk?  Please prove why it is not.

Because literally no one has ever done it or tried again. It’s hard to make an argument that the TSA protects us and actually finds risks and suspicious items because there are several Americans in prison in Turks and Caicos right now because TSA didn’t find the bullets they had in their luggage lol

I’m not talking about deterrence. I’m saying like quantity how many people or terroirs attacks the TSA identified and stopped

No, some stuff just can't be done in 40 hours and no overtime pay.
