I went to Greeley for D2 nationals one year, and I'd never been to Colorado, so I didn't realize the...geographical layout. For anyone who's never been, it is exactly as The Duke insinuates; Colorado is basically flat everywhere except for that pesky mountain range. 1032004 Posted May 1, 2024 Share Posted May 1, 2024 I feel like you should have to forfeit any scholarship money from the prior year if you transfer immediately after a redshirt (Mesenbrink for example). IIRC Alirez may not have even been enrolled so probably not applicable in his case but just made me think of it. Allirez brings a national title to a small program - he gets contacted by 3rd party with promises of huge money - leaves small program. You can be all about guys getting their money, that's fine, just remember that in a few years when we see the consequences. It's not like Mineo to sit on anything so I would guess he is just making stuff up. I'm sure Iowa will offer a strong NIL offer but I doubt Mineo actually has a clue what it is.
