Between a Rock and a Hardplace

Recommended Posts

Iowa's all time team score record is in jeopardy. They're also in a tight race for a team trophy with Michigan, Arizona State, Iowa State, and Ohio State..

Rooting for PSU at 141, 157, 165, 174, and 285 helps them get a team trophy, but potentially could cost them the all time scoring record..

Rooting against PSU preserves the All time scoring record, but bumps them down in the team standing and costs them a team trophy chase.

So whats a Hawkeye to do?

Any real hawk would phrase things in such a way that only fellow hawks would understand the grammar and overall syntax of the communication.  Hawks speak hawk, not plebeian english like the rest of us mere mortals.

Not that hard.  I'm rooting for Ayala to win and Penn State not to make the team record.  The trophy is third on that list.

So individual titles are more important than the team standing. Got it.

2nd place very much in reach.. but will require help from PSU.

So?  The overall team scoring record and Drake's individual title means more to me than taking a distant, distant second.

Then you dont care about the team! You care about the individual more!

No.  I don't care about taking second (by a lot).  I see what you're trying to do, but it's not the same.

It's not, because taking second by 90 points is not the same as winning a team title.  This feels obvious, but you do you.

Im not the one that argues team means more than individuals. Now youre putting individuals ahead of team. But thats a good thing to me because indivudals will ALWAYS be more important than the team score. Glad youre seeing the light.

No.  Winning team titles is more important than winning individual titles.  Taking second by 90 points is not.

No. Individuals are more important, but its good to knowmyou think of iowa wrestlers as disposable lemmings and not as people.

Lol WTF are you talking about, you weirdo?  You're still trying to have an argument from three years ago and then just making things up.

You put the team in front of the indivudal. Thats a fact. I put the indivudal in front of the team.
