JimmyBT
If only Nebraska didn’t get screwed at 174 by Starocci. And Missouri as a team has HEW.

NorthCarolina
I don’t think Mizzou has HEW. They looked great this year (or at least up to standard) until their whole team got sick the UNI/Iowa State weekend and they haven’t looked the same since.
wrestle87
Mizzou, something happened around the time they wrestled Cornell out east, and it just broke all of them.

Yep, wrestled a close dual with WV and then lost to Cornell the same weekend. Ever since then the team regressed.
Packard
Isn’t this the story with Mizzou every year? Every year they get pumped up coming into the tourney and invariably under perform (based on seeds and expectations).

SocraTease
The parity in the second tier teams is pretty impressive: Points: Team Standings Team Points Maximum Potential Points If Seeds Hold # F # Cons Semi # 3rd-4th # 5th-6th # 7th-8th Penn State 148 201 165 6 2 0 0 0 Michigan 64.5 93.5 69 2 2 0 0 0 Iowa 60 86 72 1 2 0 0 1 Arizona State 59.5 88.5 66.5 2 2 0 0 0 Iowa State 59.5 85.5 64 1 2 0 0 1 Cornell 58.5 81.5 64 1 2 0 0 0 Ohio State 57 77.5 65 2 1 0 0 0 Oklahoma State 55 75.5 60 2 1 0 0 0 Virginia Tech 53 79 62.5 1 2 0 0 1 Nebraska 52 83.5 58.5 0 3 0 0 2 North Carolina State 48.5 60.5 50.5 1 0 0 0 2 South Dakota State 43 71.5 51 0 3 0 0 1 Missouri 40 65.5 45.5 0 3 0 0
Paul158
Looks like Ohio State is slightly outperforming all the computer and human predictions. By about double . Nice job by the coaching staff and the wrestlers.

On one hand, Nebraska has 5 AAs, 2nd most behind Penn State. On the other hand, watching Lovett lose in the fashion he did plus Pinto doing Pinto stuff and costing himself AA status has definitely let some air out of the balloon. Let's also not forget the curious decision of Smith choosing bottom against Barnett in the 2nd period despite Smith getting the 1st TD and leading 3-1. I'm not saying Barnett doesn't find a way to win but Smith took his advantage and decided to just throw it in the trash. However, this years Big 12 & especially NCAA performance makes one wonder what’s going on within the Program.
