CHROMEBIRD
Figs - Ayala in the finals would be good, esp with their history going back to hs. 133 I've got Rags over Fix and Lovett & Parco at 149 I think Teemer wins his semifinals match at 157 but will be cheering for Cardenas bc I got so annoyed with the way Teemer was constantly backing up My only prediction for Starocci-Griffith is that folks near their mat will wonder why there's a strong smell of Ben Gay and Icy Hot wafting through the air

flyingcement
Crazy one of Wolak and Welsh will be in the finals of a weight in which there are three returning champions
Tigerfan
I know no one gives Elam a snowballs chance, but he’s got the defense and body type that I hope can make it a match. He hasn’t been taken down yet. He seems to be wrestling well, so we’ll see.
SocraTease
17 Big Ten guys. At least one in each weight, including one weight (174) with three. Pretty sure that the conference won't have a champion at 184, however.
SocraTease
I think 9 of the semifinalists are already qualified for US Olympic Trails on April 19 ... plus Gomez (for Mexico). Could add a couple more depending on who wins the finals.

All the air was sucked out of the arena when it happened. I'm not sure if there any other results that would truly surprise anyone.

CHROMEBIRD
I guess it's a home match for KOT but I'm changing my pick to Carr bc of the way he dismantled Hamiti earlier! Edited March 22 by CHROMEBIRD
KCMO2
Looking at the matchups just re-emphasizes to me how bad the committee screwed up some of the seeds. No way in hell Starocci is the 9 seed, screwed up the whole top half of that bracket. No way 4x AA Elam should have been the 12th seed. And Carr should have been the 3 seed. I know hindsight is 20/20, but it seems like seeding criteria should factor in common sense to some degree.
