He lost his grip while he was bringing Teske over and then went out of bounds.  The Army kid is lucky he didn't get called for stalling several times.

Vak, is it more satisfying watching a mediocre Iowa team in person or from the comfort of your own home?

How demoralizing is it to be a Penn State wrestler in the wrestle backs? Did Kasak even have a coach in the corner or did they all go back to the hotel?

Does Carl even know wrestle-backs exist?

You call this mediocre? Doubtful Iowa places top 5.

Sad thing is when Penn State has though 6 and 7 place years it’s because they redshirted everybody and are loading up for another 4 year run.

This is the best team Iowa can come up with. Not looking much better in the future either.

If my quick math is right, Penn State is 26-4 in matches so far.  Everybody has wrestled three matches, and 4 guys took 1 loss. They should be favored in all six semifinals matches, but they'll drop something there. The back side is tough for them. Davis vs Volk, Nagao vs Ornie, Kasak vs Arrington, and Bernard Truax vs Fishback or Feldkamp. Feels like Bernard is the only favorite assuming his leg is glued back on.

Let's call is 6-4 PSU in this next round give or take 4 or 5 matches.

Did you post when RBY did the same thing or did you laugh at Brands and Desanto?  Were you silent? Please respond.

You must have me confused with someone else lol. I’m not a Penn State fan. I’ve been critical of them many times and yes, I was critical of it when RBY did it to Desanto. I’m just an unbiased wrestling fan so I will call it out whether I like the team of the injured guy or not

30-35 years ago I was at the Wilkes Open just watching. Haselrig was there looking at the brackets on the wall. He looked at me(might have recognized me from ncaas) and asked me "how do the consolations work?" I told him, first you have to lose!

OK good.  Then you have the right to complain.  I am just opposed to hypocrisy.  I felt like a lone voice when everyone laughed at Desanto.

I was always empathetic toward DeSanto as well

I remember one match with Desanto and RBY where RBY hit a blast double, ran Desanto lime 10 feet off the mat AND spiked him with all his weight.  I thought that would have been a penalty against anyone except Desanto due to the rep.  Small potatoes compared to the fact Desanto just couldn't figure out how to finish the takedowns anymore.  RBY was a good wrestler, and I liked him in general, but he definitely got away with some extracurriculars.

But Desanto was nobody's idea of the best face of that complaint. 🤣🤣🤣

Penn State and Michigan are currently in their hotel rooms working with "Imagineers" to redesign their injured wrestlers (Starocci and Griffith) in order to increase their odds in the Semis tonight.  Some of their plans have been leaked:

I thought Kerk had slimmed down this year to help with his conditioning. I didn’t think he was anywhere near 285.

I know, that was my attempt at a joke. It wasn't a good joke but it was still an attempt, which is still more of an attempt than Lewan made offensively this weekend.

They were seeded correctly.  Feldman took some early season losses and Davison payed the price for taking 2 losses to Feldman.

Maybe they should adjust the seeding process. I thought personally they were under weighting the Big 10 heavyweights and they did. It's unfortunate that there is little or no consideration for strength of schedule or early season injuries. Seeding is never perfect but adding a couple of considerations might have a better outcome.

I was specifically referring to the ankle twist to nearside cradle injury default.  No different than anything that happened in Plott-Truax... but not as much laughter directed at Iowa.
