Dana White - Wrestling Needs Your Help

Recommended Posts

Dana you have been reaping the benefits of elite wrestlers joining MMA from Diego Sanchez during the very first season to current star Bo Nickels and everyone in between. You know wrestlers bring something different to the table and the results speak for itself.

Remember what you did for Misha Tate when you learned her former school was going to axe the wrestling program? We could lose it all in short time unless something significant happens over the next few years. The wrestlers deserve it damn it!

Once the championships are completed why not sit down with a few reputable authority figures from the sport to determine where an infusion of cash and promotion and anything else that can help elevate the world’s greatest sport.

Please consider getting involved soon sir.

I’ve been considering who would be able to help wrestling across the country. Greg Hatcher has do so much for  Arkansas, and we need more figures like that with the dollars and passion.

Unfortunately, Dana white is known for being stingy with his own fighters, I can’t see him being the donor. He could benefit down the line with some sort of wrestling partnerships though, penn state now has an MMA gym on campus, college wrestling produce excellent wrestlers.

I hope he would help, but I wouldn’t bank on it. Anyways, plz help papa white!

They are .... I would rather see White pony up for struggling D1 programs like Bakersfield or any program that has to self fund.

Yeah, I just didn't understand the direction of this post.  I know it is on the  "college" board and all, but I think mentioned high school.  I guess I am looking for a little more direction, and I'm sure if Dana White were be one to give money then he would want to know where it is needed.

The “direction” is upwards, and that’s to grow the sport and promote it to new levels. This guy can do it. The request is for his involvement in wrestling period. If it’s not applicable for this forum it will be removed I’m sure.

It’s not applicable, but I don’t disagree with the sentiment. Some of the UFCs biggest draws ever are benefits of the US wrestling system; CHUCK LIDDELL, DC, Jon Jones, Henry Cejudo, Randy Couture, to a lesser extent Justin Gathje, Bo Nickal, etc….

100% he’s personally worth 1/2 a billion dollars, plus he could use UFC funds and I don’t think many people would argue.

Maybe the guy after Dana could be a wrestler and focus on giving back! Dana is known to be a cheap bastard, look at fighters on 10k to show 10k to win contracts….

Oh it’s applicable all right - just by the very names you indicate. They all started in HS and became huge stars and the list keeps on growing. MMA needs to share the wealth to get even more wrestling talent his way.

No Ionel - I’m talking to you. You are VERY active here and you clearly know ALOT. Why don’t you just pick up the phone to start the process. Mr White would probably be happy to speak with you and he’ll most likely learn a lot too. Go ahead I dare you - then report back to me with your findings first thing tomorrow morning . lol!

I don't think so

American Top Team and M2 are a few minutes down the road in Pleasant Gap.  A few doors down from ATT & M2 is the Red Horse Tavern, back in the day it was the only MMA gym in town.  Don't know if it still owns it's infamous reputation

Uh, yeah, I'm aware... but ATT is not part of the PSU campus.  Kinda an important distinction.

Haven’t been back to the Red Horse Tavern since new owners took over in 2022. Great food, great atmosphere.

I've enjoyed my stops there. They have this pimento cheese pretzel bread that is out of this world.
