Looks like he didn't make the dream team. But he did make the All American team

This is the Wrestlng USA magazine All American Team.  The Asics team that they put out on those posters was different.

Here is the Wrestling USA team database.  Fun stroll down memory lane.

Awesome!  I have the 1996 poster and would love to add the 1997 to my collection.

I know a guy on the 1997 poster....

Thanks for posting this.  Yes, it was a "fun stroll down memory lane" for this old man.  I started a wrestling club in my hometown while in college.  Our club traveled and we wrestled all over the Midwest.  Got to see several of the wrestlers on this list when they were in youth programs.  My first year at the HS level, I started a youth program in the community.  I'm proud to say that I coached 2 All Americans on this list that started in that club.  It has been a joy to see the continued development of wrestling in Missouri as some of those previous wrestlers have become great coaches.  When I go to the state meet, I can't help but feel I have my fingerprints on some of what I'm watching.

I remember those. I wrestled with a guy who made the 1998 poster at 140lbs. Keaton Anderson. ( I believe)

Were you there when Keaton spiked that soccer player through the ***ducking** cafeteria table?

Any chance anyone has any of these old Asics All-American posters lying around?  Specifically looking for 1997.

I’m seeing a TJ Hill at 112, Joe Heskett at 152, and his teammate Victor Sveda at 215.

This particular poster is in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater.

it was in a wrestling room, i'm sure because I remember looking at the people on the post and thinking, "WOW this kenny cox kid must have been reallly really good."

well there went 6 hours in the middle of the day down the drain...holy hell that was interesting. Especially to see the wrestlers of the year and Dream Team members who fizzled out and didn't do anything in college. Also cool to see some names like Henry Cejudo on the list, surreal to think of some of these guys as high schoolers.

You can have that one, I don't need it.
