Soldier Salute Brackets?

Do you dispute that he took a swing at Glazier?  Do you think it matters whether it was a "punch" or a "slap?"  Do you think there are *any* circumstances (other than self-defense) under which a swing at your opponent is justifiable or excusable or a non-DQ action?

i know that similar things happen all the time and get shrugged off. If you think thats a bad thing fair enough,

Answer the questions, please.  Let's find out what you think is acceptable and what is not.  I, for one, cannot remember anyone taking a swing at an opponent.

Again:  under what circumstances is it *not* a DQ offense to take a swing at your opponent?

I have to imagine the AD is going to hear about this incident. All sorts of fun stuff coming out of the woodwork.

Wow. Just wow.

I found it comical (in a horrific kind of way) that, when the ref stated the reason for dq ("misconduct throwing a punch") AJ put his hands up in confusion, as if he didn't just try to hurt his opponent.

He's either delusional or lacks all sense of integrity. Probably both.

I really hope this ends the Ferrari to Iowa saga.

On a related note, i watched Brands' post match interview and was deeply disappointed when no one had the gall to ask about the disaster at 197

I don’t know what anyone expected. AJ is a massive disaster and has a whole body of work proving it

But someone should give him a 15th chance don't you think, maybe Wisconsin, Liberty, Cal Baptist?  🙄

if you obviously didn't intend harm and didn't cause any.

Zero doubt. AJ took a swing and gave him the finger and acted like the douche bag we know him to be all around.

DQ was more than justified.

(Did his swing land? No, but that's because he punches like a pus*y.)

I was going to say he throws punches the way he throws a baseball, but your description is better.

Was about to make the same post. Respect the opinion 9/10 but there’s no excuse for AJs behavior.

honest question, and I won't respond, if he had shoved him would that be grounds for getting dq'd? I'm aware you probably won't accept that comparison but just as a hypothetical.

and i'm not excusing his behavior I'm saying the response was outsized.
