Tyler Knox of Stanford with the major over Nic Bouzakis

first upset of the day

Ventresca, last years 4th placer at 125lbs lost in the Round of 32.  That was the first upset.

Man, Ventresca is really struggling. Is Cooper Flynn available for them this year. Have to think he's better than this.

Anybody know if this is an injury or cut issue?

I don't think Flynn is currently enrolled.

He has Olympic aspirations and really believes he can accomplish them.

This appears to be the case, unfortunately. Bucks may need to roll with Andres Gonzales tis season.

He won a lot in folkstyle including Super 32 multiple times.  My guess is more of a case of him maturing early, but now the field has caught up to his strength advantage.

I Bouzakis just a freestyle specialist? He does not look good in folk.

I just don't think he's that skilled. He was a hammer in highschool but he just overwhelmed people with his strength, doesn't translate that well to college.

He had a nice win over Biscoglia last year but that is his only signature win this season. He has losses to Santeniello and Rini who were both beat by HS Sophomore Bo Bassett.

Bouzakis completely overwhelmed by a wrestler I've never heard of. This is not good for the Buckeyes.

Knox is good. Top 40 recruit in last years class I believe, and stylistically always seemed like he’d translate well. But given Bouzakis’ billing this shouldn’t be happening. He looks awful.

I'm seeing fine on TV thru Roku but their UX between 3 to 4 different platforms is bad, totally different and they won't update.

Well was fine.  I've now had times of the circle of death, had to switch temporarily to phone on data instead of Roku on wifi ethernet cable.  😞

His strength/athleticism is still translating to freestyle success though.

Agreed, and all other wrestlers he faced besides Crook (Up at 141) he won handily. This year a whole different story.
