And that was why @nhs67 and I thought Gabe could win that match. This new class of guys at 174/184 is going to be fun to watch

Nah. We dumdums.

Gabe looked decent - WIttlake didn't have much offense. 1 score match like many said.

Like in the neighborhood of 4-2 or less on all sides with Arnold being in deep a few times.

Looks like I fckn nailed it.

Good game, guys.

A few notes: Ayala could push for a tech over Kaylor at 125.

I think Woods will control Belton fairly easily.  Same with Voinovich at 149.

I think Caliendo is on a mission.

I think Arnold is a better 174lber than Wittlake, if they are to meet up.

I think Swafford proves he is a R12/R16 type contender in this match.

I think McDermott is on a mission.

Good job on Arnold.

... and now he's wrestled folkstyle against a 21+ year old man!

You need a cookie or something.

It is okay for folks to be right about something you were wrong about.

I am wrong all the damn time.  The ole 'broken clock, twice a day' bullshit.

At the end of the day we are all fans.  If you can't get over it and need some sort of moral win with a comment like this, that is a you thing.  Handle it.

I'm not sure where you are going with this?  I agreed with you that Arnold would at least be competitive and have a shot at winning.  He proved it in freestyle, and now he's proved it against a grown ass man (in folk) when some said he couldn't.  I was taking a relatively small victory lap.

(I don't get many on LeDuke)

Once again the announcers did not train in the off season...

You're not kidding.  I get it that they like to give students some opportunities to broadcast, but at least find one who has wrestled and knows the scoring.  This was another long list of cringeworthy moments of "plays" and "flipping him" and even "reversals" where both guys are still in neutral.  This was in Iowa fer crissakes, there must be some HS state placer who wasn't D1 material, but attends Iowa and still follows the sport that they could have drafted for this assignment.

No PA kids in Iowa's lineup.  When was the last time that happened?  They had that long run of even just Franklin Regional HS (Kemerer and Lee) for years.

On the flip side, that’s a lot of Iowa kids in the lineup.
